President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

That poll being referenced was only taken of Republicans. So, what is the "can't beat Trump" line about? That poll had nothing to do with independents, which is the true test of a President's approval. You do not need to remind me that Republicans will stick with Trump, regardless of what happens. The January 6, 2021 riot at the Capitol proved that. That is how a cult operates. The support and defense are unconditional. However, it is mostly Trump's base creating a stir about Trump's broken promise of transparency over the Epstein files; not Democrats.

.... and since you brought up RCP. Here is what the polling averages say, that don't just include Republican voters :

As for your "Reminder: this is a CNN survey!!"

I take that to mean that you consider CNN to be a good pollster then?

That's great! Take a look at the very first poll on Real Clear Polling's list of current polling data. It just happens to be CNN, and it says this, when more than just Republican Party voters are included :

CNN

President Donald Trump - Job Approval Rating

APPROVE ................ 44%
DISAPPROVE .......... 56%
CNN. 😂

Hopefully Waller has others that agree ...

From the article:

Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller said on Thursday that he continued to call for the central bank to cut interest rates by end-July, citing growing risks to the economy and limited inflationary risks from trade tariffs.

“I see the hard and soft data on economic activity and the labor market as consistent: The economy is still growing, but its momentum has slowed significantly, and the risks to the FOMC’s employment mandate have increased.”

“Tariff increases are a one-time boost to prices that do not sustainably increase inflation… central bankers should—and, in fact, do—look through price-level shocks to avoid needlessly tightening policy in times like these and damaging the economy.”

If we could ever use a 3rd party, it is now. The Democratic party sucks but MAGA is falling apart as well. Neither movement is helpful to the USA. I really don't trust Musk's American Party either.
They're only very few options in terms of a party's political beliefs. There is no magical party.

I do like the idea of a 3rd party making the other two have to earn something but I wish everything to the right of Democrat wasn't just defaulted to MAGA.
I seriously doubt a third party is going to do anything different if anything it's going to help the Neo Communist Party

I tend to lean very much Republican and even like a lot of MAGA ideas but I am tired of the hypocrisy, broken promises, citing to Christianity but behaving the opposite, etc. I want leaders that practice the values they preach.

It would matter exactly what "3rd party" meant in practice. Where my head is at on the matter is much of the two sides is being pulled so hard to the outside the middle, where the majority of us are scattered about, suffers in the exchanges. I think it would do the most good starting smaller as opposed to just running off towards the WH.

To your last idea, maybe? The really hard left took an absolute battering in the last election. Every single swing state went Red. The Dems didn't flip a single county in the last election...that hadn't happened since 1932. It's all very speculative but I think there's a real hunger for sanity towards the middle.

Absolutely, agree 100... I believe our society had moved so far from any Christian values, we're seeing the results. I don't see our society truly changes. The gop establishment is a Godless conservatism, many our churches have been compromised that they no longer stand up for biblical truths.

Yeah, I believe so too.

Many of our churches are Godless today. They are a Republican party Sunday morning social gathering with a side of virtue signaling.....

I walked out of a certain church in November 2020 when they compared Trump getting redemption in 2024 to the resurrection of Christ....

Edit: A lot of AA churches are just D party branches. Those that compared George Floyd to a Christlike figure are just as wrong. Point remains that God is rarely the top priority at many churches today...

Avoid political churches like a plague. I have seen churches that lean both ways that are just out there.

I don't mind political topics being brought up if they are very Biblically relevant but that should not be the focus of the church.

I think churches do have a role in warning it's members of political parties or political leaders that push ungodly and unbiblical policies. They should preach against immorality, pagan, Etc. It should be done from a biblical worldview

It's not translating into political gains for the Democrats

We are still 15 months away from the 2026 mid-terms, and I heard way too much about the red wave that was supposedly coming in the 2022 mid-term elections, to take that seriously, this far out.

.... and those mid-term elections occurred while Joe Biden's average approval ratings had consistently been between 38% and 43% for close to a year.

Most forecasters projected Republicans to gain somewhere between 20 to 35 seats in the House of Representatives. They gained 9 seats. Those same forecasters had Republicans winning elections for Governor in Michigan (Whitmer) and Arizona (Hobbs) and picking up a Senate seat in Pennsylvania (Fetterman) .... The Democrats won those 3 elections easily.

So, basically, we will revisit this in about 14 months. It's way too early to be talking about those elections now.
