President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

It's amazing how good the Republicans are at getting people to vote against their own economic self-interest.

The poorest 40% pay almost no income taxes. Pretty hard to cut that

As for the rich, did you miss the exit polls that showed the Democrats did better than the Republicans ?

Therefore, recent exit poll data suggests that among the wealthy, Kamala Harris held a slight edge in the 2024 election, though Trump still secured significant support within this group

IMO the first step in due process for a suspected illegal would be proving they are here illegally and affording the accused a chance to prove that they are. Once that is done I would say that they have been afforded all the due process they are entitled to.
Agreed

A stupid stupid position. National Parks return much more than they cost, along with a huge boost to local economies same with COE campgrounds. But they must be fully staffed to do so. But keep up your "or doesn't matter if it doesn't affect me" ignorance.

If that’s true, the local community who is benefiting from them is more than welcome to pay those costs.

The meme was mocking MAGA people who are cheering this chaos on. It didn't actually attack the laws or attempt to invalidate them based on Jesus' teachings.

I don't think you need to feel defensive about this.

However, last week multiple posters were essentially invoking Jesus (their Christian beliefs) to support Israel's regime that is currently practicing the mass murder of innocent civillians (with their declared goal of ethnic cleansing), and nobody said a word about invoking Jesus. Not one person that I saw. My meme says "love one another" and that's out of bounds?
Not a "neighbor" if you're here illegally.

*and screw religion too.

I believe this is where a lot of the left is getting confused...that is all the due process awarded to illegals as being here illegally is a civil issue ont criminal. They can prove or they cannot. The is all the due process the get...if they claim asylum or their status was revoked..ask if they got notified if so then and challenge paperwork should be there. If not
.buh bye

Pardon my ignorance on this as I haven't researched it..but if the national parks are profitable why would they need government funds to maintain them and keep them employed?

Perhaps I misunderstood. They are preventing liberty if one isn't provided the opportunity to defend themselves. Once they have been afforded that opportunity then no the government is not restricting liberty.
Our constitution protects liberty. It doesn't protect where that liberty is enjoyed. Does an illegal immigrant have a guarantee of liberty in America ?

Do we know what verification (if any) the illegal immigrants received?

Until it's proven they have no right to be here. They aren't illegal until the court says so.

The constitution protects everyone with due process. Not "citizens." Persons. When the founders meant "citizens" they said "citizens" and they said "persons" in the bill of rights. "No person shall be deprived..."

If illegals are not protected by due process, then effectively nobody is protected by due process because all ICE has to say is, "we thought they were illegals when we denied them due process." ICE is not careful. They have done some wildass stuff, and they are not to be trusted. That's how we ended up with a plane full of Venezuelan terrorists that wasn't really a plane full of Venezuelan terrorists (among other terrible results).

Too bad so sad.

A great question. What are the implications (in the broader sense) related to that question wrt illegal immigrants and liberty?
IMO the real question at hand is does the constitution guarantee rights for citizens and noncitizens. IMO opinion the answer is yes is many cases. To include due process. If only for the matter of protecting and actual citizen from unlawfully getting tossed by a government official. I don't want the decider on that to simply be some ICE official where I don't have representation
