Have they not been hitting & going full practice up until probably this weekend? I mean if it's going to happen it's going to happen(injury). They could set out these last couple of practices & get injured 1st play of the game. That's why I say it's better for them to go ahead & go fully anyhow.
It's going to happen if it was meant to be. If they go these last 4-5 days without any contact then it could affect them going into the 1st game. I know because I have been a coach before myself but it was for 6th & 7th grade players though.
This is a different level. I just don't agree with holding them out of or avoid them getting hit for 4-5 days before the game. I wouldn't have never done that for any of my best players of mine for sure.
I trust Butch & his decisions but I'm concerned holding them out of full practice for 4-5 days could have an affect on them heading into the App State game. I say this mostly because it's the first game of the season. Thanks!
Let me give you'll one example of why this isn't right or fair. Say Cam Sutton who starts as well is out there busting his butt off in practice & not worrying about injury or anything but he sees Hurd & Kamara wearing green jerseys to keep from getting hit. What's he thinking?
Here I am busting my tail off 4 days before the game but these 2 players are just going half-practice to keep from getting hit? How does that make him as a veteran on this team feel? What about the newcomers? How does that make them feel?
I say they should fully practice. They need to be used to being hit & in shape 100% here 4 days before the game. That's my opinion but of course nobody wants to agree with me on anything I give my opinion on here. Thanks!

I really believe we will see a lot of people play Thursday night. App St quarterback played highschool ball at powerhouse Calhoun for his Dad. He was good, but he hasn't seen a defense like this I believe. Shoop will make him poop!

Might as well delete my VN account as I've seen it all on here now.... can't believe someone would post this to a college football forum thinking it validates their opinion that the $4 million a year coach who has a top 10 ranked team doesn't know how to properly run a practice!
