butch with some strong praise for KP, using his clips from practice as teaching moments for effort and hustle

Don't worry....heard Butch is gonna heed the advice of a few posters in here from yesterday....we're losing the helmets and pads, going all "powder puff" flag football til the opener .....gonna draw numbers from a hat to figure out who the starters are.

True. We don't want to hurt feelings and lose more people.

Great example of what butch says by having a player led team.

I firmly believe that we don't win that '98 championship if Al Wilson wasn't such a great leader.

Player leadership is one of those intangibles that good teams have that you simply cannot coach or force onto the team. It has to be cultivated from within.

No timetable on Jackson has to be a good thing.

May not be a season or even camp ending injury.

I am so excited about our defense and skill positions, but can someone please enlighten me as to the status of our O-line? They were such a weak link last year, and with Jackson going down I am worried we wont have time to get the ball out of the backfield. Coach jones said they took a step forward, but I don't see how when they were already thin on numbers and just lost another

It's still a patchwork group. There's talent there but it's young and undeveloped and the quality depth still isn't what it needs to be. Hopefully DeBord can help with development and we sustain no more injuries at the position. Basically I think we'll be "okay" as long as those two things happen. Dobb's mobility will mask a lot of the deficiency.

With Robertson, Jackson and Weisman out our Oline looks super thin again. Jack Jones at guard worries me, idk if he has the size he needs there yet. Good news is we'll get Robertson and Weisman back soon hopefully.

I'm more worried about Coleman Thomas at RT again. I like Jones at guard more than tackle and I like Thomas at Center more than Tackle but the injury bug has hit. Good news is that only one so far is really serious.

I keep thinking about poor Zach Stewart. I wonder if there's still time for him to enroll and join the team this season. I know Coach Jones is certainly giving him all the time he needs to figure things out, I was just wondering if there's still time for this seaon if that happens. This team could certainly use him.

Don't think there is any chance he comes back early

Its a camp ending injury. It is confirmed that he might be able to play the tail end of the season

Where has this been confirmed by the coaching staff or team medical staff? All I have seen is speculation in here. I get that the consensus is that it's serious, but I've seen no "confirmation he may" or may not play.

I think KK can hold down the LT spot this year. Looks as though he's improved.

I honestly think our OL will be adequate this year.
