Practice #10 Updates 8.11.16

Yea, it astounds me that Croom stayed at WR as long as he did--dumb, really. I mean, the guy's size is prototypical TE and he had no future at WR. Oh, well.

Never take jRM off either

I struggled with that as i was imagining what the lineup could be in a 3- 2- 6.

I couldn't see myself taking off Darrin Kirkland.

Austin Smith would be there as a 4th linemen in reality.

But i agree with you.

I mean if you think about it he was a 4 star receiver, 6'5 220 coming out of high school. Same year Calvin Johnson had his 6th 1000 receiving year. Makes sense he would try to stick to being a receiver. Probably realized all the talent around him, saw lack of good depth at TE and it fell in place for him.

He never exhibited the flat line speed, quickness, hands, or elusiveness to play WR in the SEC, especially against quality defenses. The coaches should have realized what was evident to everyone else long ago IMO.

He actually mentioned a 3-2-6 dime package, not a 3-4. Talked about wanting to have the dime installed for "the teams that run up to 5 receivers."

He mentioned the dime, but towards the end of the video he did mention a 3-4 as well

It could really work out for him, though....if he has a really big year....and gets noticed at the position....

I really hope he does very well...the kid has character and heart....:salute:

NT Kmac
DT Barnett
DT Kongbo
Ilb Kirkland
Olb A Smith
CB Sutton
CB Martin
NB Gaulden
Dime Foreman
FS Kelly
SS Warrior

Never take Gaulden off the field.

From what I've seen at practice, it kinda looks like Warrior has been playing at FS, not strong

When you consider our depth at TE in 2013 (especially) and 2014 it's not really that hard to see why he stuck at WR so long. He was one of the most productive guys we had there those years.

Close, but I still get this from her every time she wants to go shopping and using MY credit card. Lol, it's been revealing to see some of the responses here, truth is she has more class in her little finger than all of us hairy legged male VN posters, as do all the ladies have. She's a Texas undergrad by the way, you know those guys Davey and our boys saved or they would still be called Texicans.

Yes, I speak from experience on wallet part and know for a fact where we fall in the class department. hahaha.

I think you're right.

TK Jr may play the box safety, and let Warrior roam deep.

Does BB post in the FF? Maybe he could chime in.

If you're putting A Smith in there as a hybrid, I'd put D Taylor in there.

I'm not taking JRM out though.
