He never exhibited the flat line speed, quickness, hands, or elusiveness to play WR in the SEC, especially against quality defenses. The coaches should have realized what was evident to everyone else long ago IMO.I mean if you think about it he was a 4 star receiver, 6'5 220 coming out of high school. Same year Calvin Johnson had his 6th 1000 receiving year. Makes sense he would try to stick to being a receiver. Probably realized all the talent around him, saw lack of good depth at TE and it fell in place for him.
Yea, it astounds me that Croom stayed at WR as long as he did--dumb, really. I mean, the guy's size is prototypical TE and he had no future at WR. Oh, well.

Close, but I still get this from her every time she wants to go shopping and using MY credit card. Lol, it's been revealing to see some of the responses here, truth is she has more class in her little finger than all of us hairy legged male VN posters, as do all the ladies have. She's a Texas undergrad by the way, you know those guys Davey and our boys saved or they would still be called Texicans.
I struggled with that as i was imagining what the lineup could be in a 3- 2- 6.
I couldn't see myself taking off Darrin Kirkland.
Austin Smith would be there as a 4th linemen in reality.
But i agree with you.
