Another hot one today. HKV media room observations coming up. *I watched all defense today*

-The secondary was looking pretty good today. Martinez had the corners working on ball tracking in the air. Sutton, Foreman, and Moseley were looking very sharp. Actually caught this pic of Foreman making a nice athletic grab.

-Bob Shoop was working with the safeties, with Warrior and Abernathy getting a lot of reps. Abernathy is still in a green jersey but seems to be moving well. Warrior will be a good one, I can already tell.

-Saw a little of defensive line drills. Kongbo was wearing a green jersey but seemed to look good. Darrell Taylor looked to be powerful and explosive, as well as Latroy Lewis.

So, pretty much all I saw were just some usual defensive drills. Rutherford and Lewis were covering more of the offensive side. Preston, Callaway, and Byrd all made some really athletic grabs from what they showed me. Seemed like a solid day of practice.

I hope Croom stays healthy this year. It would be nice to see him realize his full potential.

#1 Great to hear Debord talk about how well Croom has come into the position. He can be an absolute nightmare for Safties and LBs. Plus Debord said the rest are providing excellent depth. Sounds like our true FR are both looking great. TE is a key position in Butch's scheme, so this bodes very well compared to the ? that was there at season's end.

#2 Kirkland sounds like an All American @ to arrive.

#3 Dillon Bates "sighting"! Great to hear Shoop give him props as a guy that will help us. Was getting worried about him disappearing.

I have to pinch myself thinking about where our defense has come, compared to the low point under the Doolittle / Sal fiasco.

I don't even know what his potential really is because he's never performed all that well.

Never was convinced of Croom at WR. Guy can fly and is a physical specimen. But, he never seemed fluid there. Always looked a little stiff or mechanical.

As a TE, I think he can be great. Never expected that at WR. Now, I've never seen him take on a blitzing LB, seal a DE, or blow out someone on a running play. As far as receiving from the position goes, I think he can have a huge year.

Sounds like a classy girl

Of course, that and her BSN and Masters on her way to being a Nurse Practitioner, did I mention she was a retired veteran, and being an LA 9 were just some of the reasons I married her!

Could WR become a strength this year? I know it's multifaceted, depending on several things, but I like the look of these receivers..

I'm surprised that George could be second team over Callaway. George seems to be more of a red zone threat than an every down receiver

I don't think it matters that much. I think the top five will play a lot of snaps, but after that they will all play about the same number of reps. We aren't deep enough to redshirt Callaway. I don't think any WR will red**** unless its injury related.

I hope our wideouts don't have red****.
