Well ya don't say? I totally thought that the coaches would start who VN and RTI wants.
No one is trying to argue but you. You claim to be neutral on who starts and that the best man will win the job. Yet you never, ever have these takes when someone says Dormady will start. Lecture the Dormady guys about the coaches making the decision. If not don't say anything when someone says JG will start.
I don't need to interject when Dormady proponents go too far...you and Lansford and Breaker match em...proclamation by proclamation. And most of the Dormady shills don't use the faulty taglines "doesn't fit this offense" for him...that's your domain.. And someday you're going to complete rehab and beat this "he was MUCH more highly rated and the internet guys on RTI said so too". Those and Trent Dilfer didn't make Torrance Gibson a thrower instead of the receiver he currently is. Johnny Manziel (flawed as he is) beat out a five star with his three star bad self and the same applies everywhere. High school crap goes out the window...put the best guy on the field. As long as you hawk your agenda on here I'll have to calmly and rationally fix your messes...you're welcome in advance.
Fils-aime definitely looked pretty quick during the brief portion of practice in which I got a chance to watch him. I think he definitely has room to add some weight, but we'll see how much. I do think he probably projects as a guy who's not going to get too much bigger, but I would expect him to add at least 10-15 pounds over time.
Just based on one day of practice and what I saw from him as a prospect, I do think he's going to be most effective in space and catching the ball out of the backfield. But I don't think he would be completely out of place running between the tackles, especially once he adds a bit more weight. Not sure he'll ever be an every-down back or anything like that, but I think he could grow into playing an Alvin Kamara-type role over time.
Butchie you are so full of it. I have never, ever once said Dormady doesn't fit the system. He just isn't the most talented nor the favorite to win the job imo. I know HS stuff goes out the window. Dormady has been average his time here. Dobbs has been better, now anyone who has seen JG throw says he has the best arm with athleticism.
Stop with your fake neutrality. You always butt in when someone praises JG. Never when people claim Dormady throws better than Dobbs or that he will start. Neither of those things have been proven in game or practice. He was average all spring and in games last year, yet when people pump up QD you are quite.

See...you don't have a stop button. "Always" "never". Show me one time I disputed anyone simply "praising" Guarantano. It's when they take your lead and go to the next level unfairly criticizing Dormady for not being All-American in GARBAGE TIME. Name an eventually great signal caller in our history who came in cold off the bench in their freshman year and dominated in limited minutes. Jeff Francis? No. Andy Kelly? No. Heath Shuler? No...and the list goes through Peyton and Tee. Doesn't happen and when someone pisses you off by suggesting Dormady is next in line, your default is to cite every nonproductive snap...even in games that Dobbs had more than a few. And quit with the Lansford crutch that I "remain quiet" when Dormady gets "pumped up"...boo hoo! :cray: If I was tossing out declarative statements, I'd understand the "problem". I don't participate in ANY feeding frenzy...including Dobbs...my soul is clear. I don't crown anyone before their time and you do and that makes your take better? :loco: You don't "know" or have any special insight on this neat problem we have in deciding which talented QB will take over. Now hurry off to see if you can find some other internet blogger that'll "confirm" that Guarantano will start next year. :wavey:
You guys are sleeping on Sheriron Jones. Not saying that he'll be the starter in 17, but I do find it interesting that he's still at QB with all his athleticism given our need at the receiver position.
I believe it will be a wide open 3 man competition with no clue who will win it.
