When.i think of natural, instinctive, die hard football players I think of the one and only Eric Berry.

Without comparing anyone to a legend, I get excited thinking of Warrior and TK re-anchoring that Safety position.

Just pure born and bred football players. Period.

If Tuttle can get back to 100%, Kongbo is everything he's billed to be and Shoop is the real deal as DC...I can see this D just absolutely demoralizing its opponents this year. Hard hits, lots of turnovers...just creating havoc in the hearts and minds of opponents.

Really renders all this talk about Butch's record vs ranked teams nonsensical. His first two rosters at TN shouldn't have been on the field with ranked teams, let alone beat 1, especially the caliber of SC. Last year was the first time this team had a roster to compete at a high level. They lost some sure, but they also beat two ranked opponents and two top 4 opponents needed 4th quarter comebacks to beat us. This year is different and Butch is going to prove it

This is EASILY the best team I have ever seen in my 27 years of being a fan. Length, Speed, and Muscle is light years ahead of the last 10 years. I'm not even sure what our strengths are right now. Biggest quote of the night, "Nigel Warrior starting at Safety" -Butch Jones
Now with that said, I can't imagine Nigel getting the nod over Gaulden but crazier things have happened.

I'm pretty sure he meant starting out at the safety position before consider they giving him looks anywhere else in the defensive backfield.

It was a response to how they planned to use him, not to where he'd be on the depth chart.

Ya I see what your saying there now. Anyway, every year I try and calm my expectations but this year is flat out impossible. Honestly most excited about JG to Jeff George, JJ and Pwill in 2017

If Kongbo is as advertised and Shoop gets the defense to the next level. It will be hard to stop the Big Orange Train once again.

Pretty much in the exact same shape as last year....when he was absolutely ripped with 6-8 pack abs.

The initial pics indicate he is BIG but he carries 280 in a very lean way. People keep saying he's fast, let's get the pads on and see if we can get that mean with the lean and loose him on the gators and Kublanow a few times.

Now, if you're going to hang around, get some thick skin and learn to ignore knuckleheads that attack players when things don't go perfectly. VN can be a brutal and childish place. :)

Man, JG's arm strength is off the charts! I knew it would be but seeing him next to SEC level QB's really shows it.

This team on paper is super talented, at practice without pads looked super talented, so I'm excited to see with pads if they can keep up looking so impressive.

I say Brandon J loses his stripe 1st. I'll say Kongbo keeps his way longer than you would expect just because they know he has such a high ceiling and they will stall just to push him harder.

Could be wrong. Have been once or twice in my day.
