Potpourri

Well, I've gotten 2 hours of sleep last night. Pulled almost an all nighter taking care of my mother in law's needs.

I hate to say it but it is more than I can do to take care of her. :(

Where do you find these singers? Terrific! Ann Wilson I know, of course. Her version of "Stairway to Heaven" brought tears for Robert Plant & Jimmy Page.
I have over 4500 songs in my Itunes database.
I love music, especially female singers who do rock/blues
I am often asked what instrument I play
my response,,,,a radio

Post Modern Jukebox is my goto site for music lately,,,they take modern songs and put tem into 20s-60's type of arrangements,,,check them out on youtube,,,their videos are awesome: like;

Taylor Swift's song..."Blank Space"

Meghan Tranor's "All About the Bass"

and the most unusual of their singers,,,Puddles Pity Party-the clown doing Blink 182's "All the Small Things"

this is their subscriber site,,,it has a ton of videos

I go to a program and take the audio from the y-vids and save them to my hard-drive and then transfer them into my itunes so I can burn them to a cd or mp3 player

More good stuff. Your mention of 'Taylor Swift' was frightening, but that's OK. I've been playing, listeing to & enjoying good music for years. Bet you would've been a good musicican to add to your basketball expertise.

yes it is a passion for me
when I find songs by artists known for one things and find that nugget it is so rewarding
like Cyndi Lauper doing "Shattered Dreams" or "Romance in the Dark" or Dr Hook's "Carry me Carrie"

thanks for the compliment BTW,,they are few and far between for a controversial figure like me,,,appreciate it

One of the best endings to a movie ever filmed.....When Neal finds Dell just setting inside the terminal because he has no place to go, well, it's a killer scene....Also, when Neil introduces Dell to his wife, Ms. Page, and she says "Hello Mr. Griffith," it's spoken with tremendous sincerity.

agree,,,good ending,,one of my fav all time endings is:

I still get a lump in my throat

Eddie Bush again, watch the guitar solo towards end (3:30 mark) (unbelievable) he is considered the best guitarist in the SE currently. This was performed in Pawleys Island SC live at the PIT (Pawleys Island Tavern). (Pawleys Island my home 7-8 mos. of year) He is hired to play for bands like Neil Young, John Mellancamp and Dave Mathews…..etc. Eddie is from Charleston, SC. It’s the guitar with Eddy…….he can shred like few.
