Endowments are not used to play players. Endowments are subject to specific restrictions (Federal and State laws) . Texas has the 2nd largest endowment in the U.S. Here's an article on how it's set up and used.
UT now has the second largest endowment in the country. What does that mean?
Come on people - a little common sense - I never said that the endowment had anything directly to do with NIL and football recruiting - what I have said is that there could easily be a correlation between the size of endowment - and thus the size of the donor base and the number of wealthy families giving to a particular school's endowment and someone being able to convince that same donor base and those same wealthy families into giving to basically a NIL fund and/or shell corporation or non profit.
It is already being done somehow at Texas, Texas A amd M and Miami - all of which had unusually successful recruiting results this year.
