I'd even take it a step further. I think he needs to make the playoffs this year to keep his spot secure. If he loses that opening game at Clemson, which would make him 0-4 in season opening games, you'll start hearing a lot of noise coming from LSU fans.

I find it hard to believe it is $200K more than the UT offer. The UT offer was increase in salary up to $200K but it was only on the table until he officially turned in his paperwork for the portal. Once he did that, the UT offer was off the table. I can't imagine that Miami is paying him $400K. That would be hard to believe.

I don't disagree with that at all. But if Coach O can win one, BK's dumba$$ could too. Would love to see what CJH could do with the talent LSU has this year. Still wouldn't shock me if he lost a few he shouldn't.

Yeah. 50-100k for an average person isn’t going to help as much as the advantages of finishing up in the program. So many VFLs get employment opportunities just by virtue of being affiliated with the program; those opportunities far eclipse an extra 100k in south beach in the long run. No one gives a single F about Miami football judging by their stadium attendance.
