getting tired of hearing kids keep asking for more when they haven't proven squat on the field... let them walk. I still think it's crazy we told Nico and fam to hit the bricks when they wanted more and it wasn't justified, and then here comes Merc (who just saw this go down), who hasn't shown/done jack-squat, and has his hand out... SMFH

So experience is all that matters? Got it. I think this group is more talented. Best player in football last year was a freshmen receiver. I think Mike, Travis, and Staley are going to have big years.

I guess if you have no experience you are just worthless.

Ohio St also had/ has the benefit of Brian Hartline as their WR Coach, while we're stuck with Pope. I have high hopes for our young WR's, but I don't trust Pope at all. I'd love to have a Brian Hartline type WR/ OC running out offense.

And TN just gave him a good faith raise last week. He went from 40k to close to 150-250k. I think it's these damn Agenymore than some of the players.

Good luck buddy. My daughter is a junior in HS now. It was fun being a dad when she was five. The finger paint on the wall kind of sucked though.

6-5 is very enticing in general. As the old add-age goes, you can't coach size.

Get this guy in a position where you can throw over an LB and he can get it if he has enough of a vert.

Average height for most defensive backfields at the SEC level is around 6'2" give or take. Those extra inches on jump balls matter.

Hartline is likely the best WR coach in America. Of course he is better than Pope. But I wouldn’t want him as OC. Not proven. WR coach, all day long.

I'll give you that, but Halze was unproven too and I still question him as an OC. I'd definitely take my chance with Hartline with what we've seen from Halze. But, I guess the other side of it Halze has had his hands tied with our bad QB play the last few years. Is that Coaching and developing or just bad evaluations? But, I'd also take Hartline's superior recruiting. Not that he'd ever leave Ohio St except for a HC job, but we just don't have anyone close to him on our offensive staff.

Honestly, this is Heupel offense and always will be. I don’t put as much blame on Hazle. Although Heupel could do better with a more proven OC to help with ideas. I think our evals of Joe and Nico hurt us and he worked as well as he could with them.

Among the early schools to watch for Ted Hurst are Miami, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas, Texas Tech, Washington and Penn State, sources have told On3.

Coming off visits to Ole Miss and Florida, Tennessee is expected to land the next visit from Miami transfer Zaquan Patterson. Oklahoma State is another school to watch at this point in his recruitment.

That would definitely help. But if the rumors are true that a lot of the WR's didn't like Pope, then who knows what we will get from them. We've had WR issues since he's taken over and since Burns left. If it's recruiting, then it's on him and whoever is recruiting the WR. Not sure if them not liking him is true, but it's definitely out there. And why would squirrel leave to go to a $hit show like FSU? Not sure how much NIL he got, but it could have been because of Pope...or Nico told him of his plans. Who knows, but I'm sure it will all eventually come out.

Right there with you. Even if Heupel is calling the plays, which I have no clue if he is, regardless we've taken a step back back offensively since Golesh left. I really wish Heupel would bring in a veteran OC, that will call plays, free up Heupel and kind of mix what each offense does best. Hoping CJH will eventually do that, you've got a evolve and change even more than ever.
