It's not the players ruining college football, it's the agents.

It's not the players trying to milk every dime they can while in college, it's the agents trying to milk every dime they can milk out of their clients while they can.

It's obvious, because so many of these actions are done out of the best long-term interest of these athletes and their careers. It really starts to only make sense if you consider that it's a vampirish leach of an agent doing their darnest to get another paycheck off a kid who trusts them.

Long time friend of mine has a son on the staff at UNA. He was telling me that coaches are hearing stories of agents getting 30-40%👀
There is absolutely no rules or regulations for “agents”. Morgan( his son) said they’ve even heard about agents double dipping(asking for money from the team to talk kid into portal then asking the kid for a bonus if he signs for more money with new team) this is crazy.

Why does anyone need an agent?

Hire an attorney to read the document. Sign the damn thing, get paid and move on.

Or, better yet. Put on your readers (if over 45). Read it. Ask questions? And then sign it.

It is so infuriating.

Dude starts or will get starter snaps, in the SEC, at his dream school, free college, is making money, comments all the time about how much he loves UT....oh is that right agent? I should enter the portal for more money like a slimeball? OK! Screw all that other stuff!

I get both sides of it. For the player, they trying to maximize their earning potential while they have the leverage to do so. 99% of these kids won't be playing football professionally so if they can make an extra $200k to help jumpstart the next chapter of their life outside of football, I get that.

The issue is alot of these kids go looking for a bigger bag and came up empty or put themselves in a worst situation that jeopardize their earning potential now or in the future (for those kids who have the talent to make the league).

Nico will be a great case study moving forward. Did he cost himself millions by going to UCLA and falling in the draft or will it be a short temporary cash hit but he still goes high in the draft next year?

Time will tell.

Even if he just got 50k

He gets that with NO BILLS. Then you got your free education you can use.

And when you love it somewhere and still bounce? Hard to satisfy some people.
