Cedric Tillman, Jalin Hyatt, and Velus Jones had like a total of less than 80 catches in 2021.Absolutely, but they are unproven and don't have experience... that's a big deal in the SEC... we don't have a track record/stats on them, only presuming and hope... Oh, and now a new QB that will need to get a chemistry and timing with them...
He would be a leading returning WR.Just fyi... that's 3 years worth of stats. Had 386 yards and 3 TDs last year.
This is an unpopular opinion, obviously, but I like where we stand at WR with Mike, Staley, Brazzell, Jefferson, Smith Jr, Jackson, and Boo. Also, I think Harmon could emerge as a solid depth piece. He's undersized, but shifty and fast with a 6.95 60-meter dash in HS. That translates to roughly 4.35 in the 40-yard dash according to my trusted advisor, Grok.
386 yards would damn near make you a number 1 with our WR room lolJust fyi... that's 3 years worth of stats. Had 386 yards and 3 TDs last year.

Brazzell is extremely athletic...I hear you. I just don't think the lack of experience in our WR room means they suck.
Thornton looked like a bust until he wasn't. So did Hyatt. So did Tillman. Think this will be the same song, different verse, and Mike will break out. All the guys I listed just need an opportunity, IMO. The least athletic in the group is probably Brazzell and he managed over 700 yards receiving when he was the top target at Tulane.
He could very well be this year's breakout player. Mike looked like an elite athlete when given the chance to play last year. Nobody argues with Boo being a great athlete. Staley and Harmon are both track guys with success in that realm. Jackson had maybe the best catch we've ever seen in Neyland during the spring game and folks are raving about Smith Jr., but I'm not familar with him. Jefferson was highly recruited in two sports. There's a lot of untapped potential. Very excited about 2025.He might be more athletic than any of them.
His problem is he didn't know what he was doing. No doubt he'll be better this year.
Just need a lead dog.Just fyi... that's 3 years worth of stats. Had 386 yards and 3 TDs last year.

same, i like them even better with auiglars quicker decision making compared to nico's, I suspect the passing game is gonna take a larger step forward then most are anticipatingJust fyi... that's 3 years worth of stats. Had 386 yards and 3 TDs last year.

Most definitely! And of course some of those runs LSU had too. I miss being WRU. Don't think we will ever get back there until Pope is gone and we bring in a Hartline type recruiter. He's an abs beast. They’re on Bama level run like they had Waddell, Smith and all of those guys. Maybe even a better run . Hartline has been killing it.
