Among the other "I'm a better fan than you" comments, you called me a bad fan and implicitly said I don't enjoy football because I made a silly comment about the idea of Dylan Rizk being our QB target. That's hardly me "attaching so many emotions" to anything. You hanging on every comment that isn't kittens and rainbows and allowing other people's opinions to affect your enjoyment is FAR more emotional, not to mention irrational.

And now calling me a negavol...you don't know me. Get over yourself. If not believing Josh Heupel laid the foundation of Neyland Stadium and that his staff walks on water while making every right call and decision makes me a negavol in your eyes, well OK. I'd bet there are far more on this site that have known me across 16 years that would attest otherwise.

You've got to be one of the most self-righteous, misguided and arrogant people I've seen on here in some time.

Apparently Golesh's QB, Byrum Brown, might be who y'all are targeting? Would be sound, I've seen him a couple times and he looks pretty good. Also would be familiar with the system.

In his last fully healthy season:
- 316 against Temple
- 357 (5 TD’s) against Memphis, also ran for 100
- Threw for 260 against UAB, also ran for 136
- 338 (3 TD’s) against Navy
- 435 (2 TD’s) against Rice, also ran for 82

Last year when they played Alabama in Bryant Denny he also ran for over 100

I remember in 23 watching their games a little bit because of Golesh and he was about all they had. We could certainly do a lot worse

USF vs Syracuse 2023. Obviously not the full game, but as you can see he made some high quality throws this game vs a Power 5 opponent. Given his experience and success, he quite clearly seems like an upgrade over Merk at this point. Honestly, the only concern is his durability.

While I would love to have a bigger name like Sawyer or Avery, those seem like longshots. We could do a lot worse than Byrum Brown

I didn’t say it wasn’t possible. I’m saying I want no part of it.
You’re not stripping that monster to the boat, you’ve got to get him on the reel. And without a harness to lock into…….i just don’t see hanging onto a fly rod and reeling it in when every time it gets close to the boat it peels out all your line. That’s another problem. There’s not enough line on the reel to deal with that monster.

But


I would certainly enjoy watching you give it your best shot.

If going for a likely starter, do you think the strong preference is a one year guy so as not to interfere with retaining Faizon since he is a potential huge difference maker?
