The depth situation is really what concerns me the most about 2025 outside of the QB situation.

However, this is a problem a lot of teams are facing too, even at places like UGA. Last year, their starting OL was mostly RS JRs and SRs. However, their rotational guys were either RS SO or even FR. That is a huge drop off in size and experience. Cole Cubelic did a piece on how teams are struggling to keep their starters, but are struggling even harder to keep their depth. The days of having guys stay for a year or two on the bench to develop are going away, as smaller teams in other conferences are offering sweet deals for depth pieces to transfer and start.

When your window to get to the NFL is limited, it becomes easier for teams to snipe your depth selling them on playing time and a slightly better paycheck.

Losing Squirrel will be a net gain as he could not catch the ball and stay upright and it will allow a potentially more talented WR to get his reps.

Will have to allow the kids you recruit to actually see the field. We have some depth but it's young and unproven. The staff will have to get these young guys ready to play.

Having guys sit and develop for years and years appears to be over with in today's college football landscape.

Yea potentially, he was hurt for majority of the year but I think we can get better play from the slot then Squirrel's 2024 year.

To me, sounds like Jakobe situation is similar to Mike Matthews in that he hasn’t officially sent in portal paperwork. I think he ends up back.

Would really like to see us get a linebacker. But get that other **** done first, we know walking and chewing gum is difficult for Pope and Martinez.

Those DL prospects don't excite me at all...but are there better options?

Isaiah Johnson is 3d from last in ranking and is 6 away from 3,276. yikes...I don't even see the other guy. I know to trust RG and rankings aren't everything but this is extreme

It’s basically saying there’s a decent chance that Thomas ends up back with us in the end. We are having the Mcneese receiver and BYU receiver in for visits this weekend. We are trying to fight hard to get the Georgia State Receiver, but teams like Texas with deep pockets are in the mix. Then we have a couple D-line recruits coming in and the safety that’s from Miami I think? Seems like we may get some portal news this weekend. Also, it’s seems like everyone else on the team is safe at the moment. If there are any other portal entries it will be a surprise.
