I've seen Last Chance U........you'd think at this point there'd be some talk of giving some talented LBs at one of these schools or even recruit some LBs at a less exposed DI school like a Wyoming, Kansas, or USCe, etc at this point. I get not everyone can play SEC but at some point we're about to be like coach Norman Dale.

Linebacker is a position we really didn't have great depth at with Henry T or Q Crouch still being here. Got to get linebackers.

I think I heard on a podcast that we have like 73 players right now including the ones that were recruited but not on campus yet. We need players at every position except QB. We have plenty of QB's. We could definitely use 2-4 LB's from the transfer portal.

Edit: I just went and looked at the transfer portal, if we just had our own players back we would be in decent shape.

You are exactly right.
If we want to be relevant in college football we must recruit and retain much better talent across the board. Our mid level roster will not win very many games of importance.

Let's be honest, after watching our LB corp last year, we can't get much worse. Just worry about coaching up who we have. He!!, having a long snapper at the LB position might actually be an upgrade.
