I'll cry when the fan base starts having unrealistic expectations for this season. Three seasons 3 different QB's.

If he isn’t the started that means he got beat out. Which should only mean good things for UT. I don’t think that will happen but I do think we will see both freshmen this year

If Faizon wins the job, that’s a great sign for him and the future. So to answer the question…no, I won’t cry.

The most famous player on any roster is the backup QB and at UT, per tons of Tennessee fans, it's now the backup to the backup. Tennessee's best chance to make the playoffs was Aguilar, but that ship has sailed. Over the past few months I'm afraid so many have put so much stock in a guy that is extremely unproven and there is no indication that I can find that the starting role is his to lose. Am I hopeful he'll be the guy and lead us to the promised land? Sure, why not. I pull for anyone that is leading the Vols. Should people pump the breaks a bit? Yes, absolutely. Unfortunately, like many within VolNation do, they have branded this guy the clear-cut starter and best ever.
Doesn't matter to me. All the NIL stuff has soured college sports for me.

Reactions: a vol n tears
The best player will start. My concern is that the best player isn’t good enough to win more than 6 or 7. Really tough schedule and less than ideal time to break in a new starter.

You're a DAMN PESSIMIST. But, I agree with you! :)

Admittedly I dont know much at all about him, but is there a chance it could be Staub? Seems like him having a few years experience could be helpful.

That’s football. Just how it goes. If he gets beat out it means someone better and more qualified got the job, just how it is GBO
