Poll: Will you cry if GMac is not the starter?

The most famous player on any roster is the backup QB and at UT, per tons of Tennessee fans, it's now the backup to the backup. Tennessee's best chance to make the playoffs was Aguilar, but that ship has sailed. Over the past few months I'm afraid so many have put so much stock in a guy that is extremely unproven and there is no indication that I can find that the starting role is his to lose. Am I hopeful he'll be the guy and lead us to the promised land? Sure, why not. I pull for anyone that is leading the Vols. Should people pump the breaks a bit? Yes, absolutely. Unfortunately, like many within VolNation do, they have branded this guy the clear-cut starter and best ever.

Its all on him now. Either he wins it in practice and keeps it with game performances or he will be done at TN. Doubt he would get a 2nd chance to win starting job in 2027 if he stayed.

The best player will start. My concern is that the best player isn’t good enough to win more than 6 or 7. Really tough schedule and less than ideal time to break in a new starter.
