Which of these 2 options are best for our Tennessee Vols? Explain your logic below. I wanted to see this in Poll form. I'll give my opinions later and let you guys respond a few times first.

I said A&M because UGA would have a better chance of beating them in the SECCG, and I'd prefer to eliminate the possibility of Tennessee having to travl to Athens in the first round. No other potential playoff matchup concerns me.

Texas win.

aTm win and even at 9-3, in the eyes of the committee they could jump us in the polls and leave us out of the CFP.
Their only bad loss was USCe.
Nonsense. The only way they get in is if they win the SECCG. That would bump us down a spot, but Texas likely falls below us with a loss to A&M imo, so even that would be a wash. And besides, we are the 9 seed as it stands, is A&M going to take up four spots somehow?

I said aTm. I dont think they jump us. They could jump into the mix behind us with two straight wins. I think Tejas losing to a 9-3 team SHOULD move us ahead of them, based on our resume comparison. If they lose then they don't have any quality/top 25 wins. I don't have faith in the committee to do that, but that's how it should be.

I do think UGAly wins the SECCG no matter who they play. It's basically a home game for them and they have plenty of experience winning that game. Texas nor aTm have any experience in that building or in the game. Plus Kirby will have them ready to kill, just like they were against the Vols. So I think back to back losses insures we get ahead of Tejas and host.

I think Texas wins the game, but Georgia has already beaten them in the regular season. I don't see A&M beating them, and as long as Tennessee takes care of their business Saturday, I don't see that who wins between the two Texas teams will have that much effect on Tennessee's positioning.

A&M wouldn’t jump us per se, but if they went on and won the SEC, they’d automatically jump us.

This is true but then UGAly would have 3 losses and be behind us, so that’s a wash. Wouldn’t it be something if we traded places and they had to come to Neyland for a rematch? We better hire the right refs. Lol

ATM lost to Auburn last Saturday. Auburn is one of 3 SEC programs with a losing record. ATM isn’t moving ahead of us at 9-3. Texas would drop behind us with two losses and zero wins against current ranked teams.

I want ATM to win because it moves TN up to a home game.

I think it's an A&M win.

Tennessee's hosting competition is Texas and Georgia. Without knowing how the committee will respond/react to a team losing in a conference title game (do they fall, do they remain stationary?), A&M winning on Saturday guarantees Texas finishes 10-2 and puts them in serious jeopardy of falling behind Tennessee in the rankings.

My prediction is that A&M wins big and drops Texas behind us. But then we will need Georgia to take care of them. Will Kirby have them up for the game?

The weather forecasts have been talking about a bomb cyclone out west. Maybe there’s a nuclear bomb cyclone with a meteor attached to it at the end of the ball game. That way they go out tired.

Exactly. If we beat Vandy we should finish ahead of the loser of Texas-TAM. Texas really has no high quality wins yet.

A&M beats Tx. Tx has no ranked wins and should unless the committee has no brains, drops Tx. Behind the real UT

UGA over A&M in title game and no way a 3 loss A&M should move above vols

This puts a playoff game in Neyland regardless of what happens with the rest of the possible upsets on Saturday

BUT the key is UT owning Candy this weekend.

If A&M beats Tx and they miss the CFP after Sankey son of Nick Satan gave them a cupcake schedule, would not that be awesome?

Think about this, A&M comes into the game Saturday hating Texas and in a must win situation to make the CFP. Texas has not been tested on the road this year as all their road games were non night games.

Agree. UGa is winning the SECCG regardless, which would take A&M out with 4 losses, and a Texas loss, in a just world ('just' being the operative word with the silly "committee", whose parameters change week to week), should drop them below us. And UGa getting the bye eliminates having to face the only team I fear at all in the first round.
