"13-year-old Tennessee bourbon "

I'm sorry. I love Tennessee. I consider it home even though I live in Oklahoma. And I'd like a taste of the Sweetens Cove... But Bourbon is a Kentucky product.

Flame away. But I'm not wrong.
You’re right. It’s whiskey in TN. I love Peyton to death but I doubt it’s worth $200

I was wondering if anyone on here was familiar with Sweeten's Cove! Used to drink that awesome water from the Pipe coming out of the Mountain at that roadside pullover spot. Funny how Peyton used that name. Probably learned it from Thunder Thornton.
Had it many times still live there. Peyton is part owner of the golf course there recently named one of the top 9 hole courses in the US.

Ordered mine.

I'll drink it when Tennessee WINS The National Championship.
I had two cell phones open to their site hitting refresh on the order button and got in 10 seconds after 10:00 when sales opened. Still was sold out before I could hit a few buttons to process payment.

I'm blessed with not only a BEAUTIFUL wife (of 30+ years) but she is a "Bourbon Hoarder"...my basement FILLED with rare Bourbons, Ryes, etc. She is "working from home' and had her "trigger finger at the ready"!

Party WILL be at MY place after The Natty!

Definitely not wrong but I hope I get a bottle for Christmas nonetheless :)

Hold him to it, folks! Hopefully I'll be back in TN when that happens.

Buddy of mine is a big aficionado and collector....said it’s Dickel’s 13 year, which is a $60 bottle in most regions. Golfballs nailed it on page 1

SO....Sweetens Cove ends up being a BIG bunch of podunk IDIOTS. ALL orders placed have been “CANCELLED”...$ to be “refunded” (although I’ve yet to see a credit) and they (the Goobers @Sweetens Cove) are gonna just put bottles out on liquor store shelves in Tennessee.

And they do so with a stupid email “calling an audible”...OMAHA! OMAHA!

what a BUNCH of LOSERS!

Yep...

Happy Friday from Sweetens Cove!
We had to call an audible at the line of scrimmage.

We’ve heard from hundreds of customers who want to get their bottles sooner, rather than later – for gifts, birthdays, Father’s Day or an evening sip with friends. We’ve also heard that many of you may not be home to receive the deliveries or may prefer to pick-up at their favorite local liquor/spirits shop. While we wanted to provide a personal hand-off, most of you just want it and want it now! Listening to our best customers is fundamental to our culture and operations.

So, we have installed a new game-plan that we think you’ll like:

BTW...their new “game-plan” I DO NOT like...

I could almost sympathize with them if that were the case. To avoid that, the deal was they would only ship to Tennessee addresses. I had that covered via my daughter in NashVegas.

But this? This? THIS is MORE small minded than that one, eighth grade, drop-out in Bucksnort who has to wear those Velcro shoes

I'm sorry, but you are absolutely wrong. To qualify as a bourbon, the grain mash must be at least 51% corn and stored in charred oak barrels.

Nice to see someone who knows a thing or two. Also the barrel must be new and can only be used once. I helped make Bourbon in Colorado and hope to do it once more out here in Montana. I like to finish it off with Rye.

False.

But whatever.

What is false about this? That you think it needs to be made in Kentucky? That of course a lie that people from that state claim. It does in fact have to be made in the United States.
You could join to the national Bourbon association or read up on there site.

Not trying to start anything just can’t see what I said was False. GO VOLS

Look, if you want to make Coca Cola in your basement, go ahead. But its not really Coca Cola. If you want to make or drink something similar to Bourbon, go ahead. If might even taste good. But its not really Bourbon. Your own rules say it has to be made in the United States. If you are going to make arbitrary geographical distinctions, at least get those distinctions right. Burger King grows their burgers in a plant. "Random" people on commercials can't tell the difference. But we all know - its not really a burger. Tennessee whisky is (sometimes) tasty. But its not Bourbon.

And its the American Bourbon Association. If you are gonna cite some high and mighty authority, get their name right. But this is nothing more than a marketing group started in 2012. 2012? I dont think I have to say anything else about them.

Look, its not personal. No hard feelings here. I'm just a pedant from Kentucky. And, like Bourbon, that can't be changed. I'm OK with "agree to disagree" but I'm not OK with an 8 year old marketing firm telling me what Bourbon is. I've got kids older than the American Bourbon Association. And the American Bourbon Association was founded by a cognac company from Louisiana.
