Good, but the question is, will he get his arm strength back to compete this year?

Peyton beats most teams prior to the snap. Hes a great passer but his biggest weapon is the 10 seconds between breaking the huddle and walking to the line. Hes going to beva great snag for anyteam thats grabs him from the colts and automatically puts them in superbowl contention. Colts are dumb if they let him go.

Please mr. Adams let peyton come home!

He'll be let go to open cap room. Too much risk, plus his age. Sucks, but that's the way it goes.

That man deserves another ring. I hope he finds himself in a good situation next season, whether that's with the Colts, or anyone else.

In all the recent interviews or photos of him, its seems that he has difficulty moving his head or turning when talked to....that will not bode well for him. This in addition to loss of arm strength.

I think his time is up in Indy....interested to see how this plays out. He will make a good analyst in the booth and I expect that is where he will end up sooner rather than later.

Good. I would have hated to see his career end just shy of some serious statistical achievements. (400 Tds, 60,000 yards, etc.)

Peyton would be a great fit for the Titans. If he can play, they are a serious playoff team. If he ends up injured, he will mentor Locker!! Win win situation if they can get the money right and write an incentive laced contract.

Now if he comes back....Big D would be the place for him to work some magic. They have the skill players and Peyton would have a field day there.

Not to be that guy but on the way home from work today I heard Bill Meade on The Monster 640am say that both NFL doctors who are fusion specialists have said Peyton should never take another snap in the NFL...

I realize I'm not Peyton or a high caliber athelete but I had C5,6 & 7 fused and I couldn't imagine taking a big hit with my neck the way it is..

Peyton is hall of fame bound and has nothing to prove. I know the man LOVES football but I pray he is making the right decision here... I DO NOT want to see him get hurt worse..

This is not really news, he could play IF the nerves regenerate to normal. We have known the neck is fine, the nerves have been the issue.

Glad to hear he's been cleared. Hopefully he can return at a high level and play at least a Couple or three more years.

Did a real quick search on his surgery.. He had a procedure called a single level anterior fusion. Idealy you don't want to have to have things like this done but his neck was/is not as f@*ked up as mine..

According to Dr. Joseph C. Maroon "This didn't ruin his career - it saved it, because it's going to get him out of pain and stabilize his spine and he should make a full recovery," Maroon said.. Not sure why the NFL doctors are taking the stance that they are unless they have information that most of us are not aware of..

Another quote from the article states, "A 2011 study in the journal Spine found that after having a similar surgery, 40 players had come back to play in the NFL again."

I was not aware of this and I'm surprised so many have had procedures such as this and have resumed their careers.. I guess I just assumed that neck injuries requiring this type of procedure to correct would be career ending..
