How did this happen? Less than 100 posts and you were not only allowed to start a thread, but a stupid one at that?

I demand an investigation!! I think there is some kind of culture being developed here....with privileges.....and what not.

If this thread is stupid I'd hate to see what you label a really bad thread.

I know most people want to retire to a new job where they will work 18 hours a day minimum, travel too much, get paid about 5% of the amount they were making, and not be able to spend anytime with their family...in a job they have never done before, after taking a beating in the NFL for almost 20 years. Sounds great!

If I were him I'd just become a big booster. Then he can pay his money, relax and enjoy the games, and ***** about UT when they don't do well. He can do it from those fine black Corinthian leather recliners up there under the press box. Then he can come on here and say "FAAAAAHHRRR (insert coach or AD name here).

Peyton being the QB Coach at UT would be great
PAY THE MAN

My opinion is that he needs to be on the U.T. staff for a year and coach the q.b.'s. Then I would guess that within the year, he would be offered a job as a G.M./Part Owner of an NFL team that is struggling. Then accept that job.

Take a year off from the N.F.L., but still stay active in football. Bide your time until a great offers comes along.

Yes but you could get the best QB recruits in here knowing
Peyton would be there coach. I know he don't need the money. He would like this better than sitting behind a desk...........I Think

It's been reported over and over again that he wants to be a part of an NFL ownership group or be a VP of football operations of an NFL team like Elway. I personally don't want Manning to come back to Tennessee in any capacity less than Athletic Director. I'd rather not log onto VN and read all the threads about how OC or QB coach Peyton Manning sucks after a loss when the offense or the QB doesn't play well.

Peyton probably doesn't love UT as much as you do.

I think he probably loves his university as much as any of us. I just think he very likely has much higher professional aspirations for himself than any of these posters on here who seem to think he'll just slide into a Butch's staff as a QB coach....and that he'd probably do it it pro bono. Lol. It's silly season.

Actually think he would be a pretty good AD. Have no problem if he were offered an associate AD position with the understanding that he takes over when Hart retires.

I don't want him anywhere near coaching at our school. Our idiot fans will be calling for his head the first bad game our QB has

I'll take that chance any day! No VFL would ever boo Peyton Manning! Not to mention, could you imagine the impact he would have on recruiting the top QBs in every cycle!?!

Let's see... $300k for a QB coaching gig or $4 mil for a commentary job with CBS or Fox? Hmmm...decisions decisions.

No please no. Make him a nonpaid QB coach emeritus or something but for heaven's sake do not put him in the position of EVER being fired.
