Peterman Transferring?

I may be way overthinking things, but Quinten Dormady is coming is as #12 according to his intro video. Is that a sign maybe?

That only means Dormady won't be on the field for a play at the same time as Peterman. Every QB on the team can wear the same number, they just can't be in the game at the same time.

Whole bunch of dumbassery up in here. For all you toads wanting NP to transfer - think about how your statements reflect on our football program. How many of you keyboard warriors would have fared better? Zero is the answer.

Peyton had an open date last weekend. He was posting.

NP has two years of eligibility remaining, won't have academic issues, has live game experience against two of the best defenses in college football, and provides depth at a position that has had many injuries over the last several years. His taking a role as a backup could lead directly to one or more redshirts being preserved. He'd add maturity and leadership to the depth chart at a position full of youth. I really hope Peterman sticks around.

If comparing the effectiveness of Dobbs v Peterman behind a broken offensive line it's no comparison. Dobbs will be better. However, if forced into action behind an intact OL and with several skill position weapons, I have little doubt that Peterman would be a functional backup QB.

Good luck Nate...we never knew you. Hope it works out for you...somewhere. :peace2::peace2:

GO VOLS!

Eh, whether he stays or goes, Peterman will always be remembered harshly by some of our fans and that's sad. Good kid that is just an excellent representative of what a student athlete should be. He just wasn't a good college QB. Probably will be remembered by most in a harsher way than players like Da'Rick Rogers.

That goes to show how far in the crapper that society has fallen.

This reminds me of Randy Sanders. He remained on campus an additional year as a back up and then became a G.A. then went in to coaching.
Jim Bob did the same thing also.

He's done pretty much everything asked of him in three years...except play well. When we recall Joey Matthews I don't hear hate or anything similarly harsh...he was just a disaster...in his first stab at starter. He was immediately replaced by Suggs then Clausen. This was behind a traditional great Vols OL line so the fact that he never got another shot was probably more justified, but if there had been a VN there would be his apologists. Our human nature is to root for redemption and comeback stories...sometimes it's not warranted. I fall in the line of people that saw enough. If he doesn't transfer and keeps up the hard work, I won't resent his presence on the team...I just honestly don't think he helps the team.

This a rumor thread. Facts are that he is in Master level classes. He is in school. Could that change? Of course but at the moment he is in classes.

I agree. And I think the space would be better used on another player but let's remember this kid is a good kid and keep the parting shots to ourselves.

It's sad that many fans want to take shots at a kid because he didn't perform well in a meaningless game. I mean we as fans sometimes act as if the outcome of a game is going to somehow effect our lives.

Fans living vicariously through the performance of an athletic team participating in a game? Nonsense!
