Peterman is enrolled in graduate classes, he's not leaving.
Two years now you guys have gotten to know Butch Jones and you should know by now he's not letting a freshmen lead the offense at UT unless he's FORCED to.

They don't have to wait they are both already here.
You can have 2 players with the same number if 1 plays offense and 1 plays defense. Pretty sure you can't have 2 qbs with the same number.
This is all the rule book says. http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/rules/fielddiagrams/football.pdf
No two players of the same team shall participate in the same down wearing identical numbers (A.R. 1-4-2-II) [S23].
Is the argument that we'll have 2 qbs with the same number? I seriously doubt that. I understand the rule, just saying that typically, if a team has 2 players with the same number, one will play on offense and the other on defense. For example, Vic Wharton (WR) and LaTroy Lewis (DE) no.4.... Drae Bowles (WR) and Rashaan Gaulden (DB) no. 7.
Finally, if Dormady is now #12 as well, then we have 3 players with the same number....Peterman, Dormady and E. Moseley.

First of all, even though he has been at U.T. for 3 seasons, he has only played in games in 2 seasons. The other was a redshirt year.
Secondly, he has only thrown 43 passes in his career, which most qb's do in one game. He has completed 20 of them, and about all of his passes have been against tough competition behind the worst o-line that we have ever seen here. When he has played against easier competition, he just gets to hand it off to run clock. I am not ready to give up on him.
This season Peterman was 10 of 20 with no interceptions. 13 of his 20 passes were against Georgia and Alabama. He completed 6 of 13 against them, and 4 of 7 against the other teams that he played.
