Peterman Transferring?

Quite the contrary...I think Butch gave him every opportunity dating back to the 2013 FL game. It is obvious it wasn't there for him but I still wish him well and anyone who would bash the guy is no VFL.

So his first game is in the swamp against a very good to great Florida D-line is fair. After that did he ever play more then a couple series outside UTC? Either way I don't think Peterman would be a very good SEC qb but he was put in very difficult situations. No need for anyone to bash him.

This sounds eerily familiar...anyone up for bacon?

If you are a gamer you make the most of the opportunity given you. I didn't think much of Dobbs after 2013 but when thrown in against Alabama he proved his worth and value. I really feel bad for Nate...everything I heard about him leaves me with the belief he is nothing short of a wonderful, classy young man...for whatever reason it just didn't work out...I am shocked that it didn't.

This.

If he has graduated this quickly he's most likely to accept the opportunity at a school that has the graduate program he's most interested in.

Walking away from college football with a debt-free Masters is not a bad gig at all IMO.

This is why I don't blame him at all if he decides to transfer. I personally hope he stays though. I still believe he has a great skill set and I respect that he hasn't complained in public about playing time, etc.

Most people understand their roles, if they don't and they're unhappy they usually move on.
Maybe Nathan understands he is here in a backup support role and is satisfied to do whatever the coaches ask him to do. To be a leader everyday and not to walk away because things didn't turn out as he planned.

Best of luck to him whatever fork in the road he takes.
Could be a grad assistant one day

Heared from a prominent Knoxville lawyer that Peterman was declaring for the draft.

Wish him nothing but the best...but Dooley should've never brung him in...sorry dead horse beating\ hindsight 20\20

Probably would've been a fine lower level QB.

I may be way overthinking things, but Quinten Dormady is coming is as #12 according to his intro video. Is that a sign maybe?

Once again a needless and classless post...

SIAP. I found this rather interesting...

EDIT: On top of this, the Vols currently are the "clear cut" favorites for 4* QB Sheriron Jones who I believe is set to make a decision in the next week or so. So, this could also be why the staff is recruiting a 3rd QB for this class.

Sheriron Jones

Another QB in this class? It will be hard to get over this picture of Jones.... :bad: I really hate the Gators!

Western Carolina or Davidson would be good along with Austin Peay

He wouldn't get to play at Western.

We have Troy Mitchell coming back from a 2500yd/20td passing, 500yd/6td rushing season.

He'll have a monster senior year with all starters returning.

Peterman is from Florida near Gainesville. So I would say Jacksonville State, Southern GA, GA State come to mind. FAU, Troy, SC State, Elon, Wake Forest just to name a few.

Also closer to TN, UT Martin, Austin Peay, Eastern/Western KY and TN Tech.
