Peace Out

I think most schools including Tn just need to adjust to the new reality, perhaps lower our expectations a bit because winning a NC is now on par with winning the Powerball jack pot. . What we should do is set our sights on beating a rival like Florida or Bama and if that happens, be happy about it. Maybe have a winning season.

I get it. In 1998 when Anderson missed a chip shot FG after being perfect all year, I finally quit the Vikings. Just too many heartbreaking moments over 30 years. I’m not there with college football yet, but I understand. I’ve enjoyed NFL football much better than when I was a Viking fan. I actually literally LMAO when they missed a FG a few years back to lose to the Seahawks in the playoffs.

Sometimes a switch just flips. I get it.

So, I guess you also believe Wal-Mart employees or the ones working production jobs to produce goods, should be the highest paid ppl in the business too.
Imma a skilled laborer. I love the idea. I have thought the same thing my whole career, us boots on the ground should be the most well-compensated because I am how the infrastructure is built in the first place. Without me and those like me, y'all have no Internet or (any) control systems, to say the least.
But, imma hold my breath. You let me know when a million-dollar industry such as fiber optics and data/communications starts paying technicians like they do their CEO's; if my labor is what creates the product then I should have the same argument as the athletes you champion, correct (?). No. In a capitalist society, even a social democracy like ours, management and executives will make more than front-line employees. What has changed, and it has changed in college football, too (if you compare what players were being "paid" prior to NIL to coach salaries in the 70s 80s and even the start of the 90s) is the multiple. It has gone from 21-29 times the front-line salary to 280-290 times that salary. That's a 10 fold increase. That's what not sustainable.
