Peace Out

I don’t know about that. Depends if they get control of this mess or not. If it continues unbridled, I’ll wager the situation will get worse and more fans will bail. Might take a few years to trail off but I believe it will happen. Have to wait and see.
You may be right...but I don't think so. You will be replaced. You'll be replaced by ten youngsters who see this as normal...who see this as what they thought it always was. College football isn't going away.... it'll be different from what some old farts prefer it to be....but it's not going away.....it's too exciting and addicting.

Oregon has come close a few times without agents. Indiana struggled to have winning seasons.

Cuban (money man) is the only irreplaceable human in their championship and no one thanked him in their speeches. Everyone else is replaceable and could still achieve what they achieved.
If there were no other money men in the world, sure, Cuban is irreplaceable. You'll quickly say coaches are replaceable, players are replaceable, etc...... so are money men.

You're hung up on him being "irreplaceable" like he's the only guy in football giving money. He's certainly the only guy giving big money at Indiana and VERY MUCH responsible for their championship. Granted. But there's nothing special about his money.

I think he didn't get recognition because he didn't want recognition. He didn't go out of his way to tout his gifts. Others brought it up but I haven't seen him say much, if anything, about it. He probably wanted it to be low key.

Somebody gets it. Bingo, and the ultimate point being that only Mark Cuban would be willing to use 10s of millions on a doormat school therein, he bought them a championship. They would still be a 3 win team without Cuban.
I don’t believe they would be a 3 win team. Cignetti is a far better coach than anything they’ve had and I am not going to give all the credit to Cuban. That’s just not realistic. Doesn’t really matter anyway. The world is what it is now and it ain’t going back. They have Cuban and a lot of schools (including us) don’t.

Possibly but what if those youngsters aren’t being taken to games by old time fans? And when younger fans can’t afford to take the family? The kids eventually lose interest too. That can happen too. Like I said, it’s going to take a few years to set in.

Cuban paid for Cignetti too.
