Pavia is absolute TRASH!

If Clark Lee had any class, he would suspend him from their bowl game. Cut ties with him ASAP.
I was thinking the same thing. After the apology tweet Diego made, I assumed Lee made it a condition of playing in the bowl game.

Embarrassing for the Coach, but he allowed this type of attitude to exist throughout the season.
Think of the words Lee used when describing Pavia --- best player, leader, example and others. Sure he was politicking for his player, but what he failed to realize is that Pavia was down deep Pavia was all about himself. The true colors showed.

The Heisman Trophy vote is a farce because of the additional voters such as the Media Members, 870 total. Can be regionally bias, conference bias or Media bias. Media has the biggest sway and the most votes and stats really do not matter.

Did Mendoza deserve it, yes, absolutely. Sayin should not have been there as a Freshman. His time will come but the Heisman use to be about getting on the ballot first and winning it the next time. Prove yourself worthy. Not anymore.

An example is Pavia's family and the drinking problem plus the fact that Pavia made it all about him and slide in the family aspect of Vandy Boy's which was a sidebar for show. More humbling awaits him down the road

Add to the fact that Pavia seemed to have a strong relationship with Johnny Manziel which did not help, IMO.

The whole Heisman thing is mostly a beauty contest. How many times over the years has some big guy in the trenches been worth twice what the Heisman winner was.

Mike Rozier won it in 1983. He was a good NFL player but would you have taken him over Reggie White?

It has nothing to do with Vandy beating UT this season. I cannot stand Pavia or his family though. I can say say that he maybe did get hosed on the Heisman though. I mean at the end of the day he was the only reason that Vandy was relevant the past two seasons. That being said he is a massive douche. His interviews with him acting like all of those Heisman qb's were not as good as him? I mean come on man. I understand him being upset that he didn't win. Although at the end of the day you have to just congratulate Mendoza and move on.

Not really sure all of that really changes his draft stock all that much. His NFL stock was not exactly high anyway. He would have never fought for another year of college had he thought he would get a shot in the NFL.

Already cried about Vandy beating us up at home in several threads and several forums over the last several weeks.

Their qb acts like an ass and tells the voters "F" you. And our SuperDuperFans wanna take up for him and cry some more about how bad Tennessee sucked this year.

And I've got my head up my butt.

Lol. Can't make this up.

TAF is not a fan. Long time troll

You know as pompous as Vandy fans are, they hate having to hold their nose to root for this guy. He is the complete opposite of what Vandy values itself as, which is basically a slight step down from Ivy League (commonly known as part of the "Southern Ivies").

So for him to act this way, along with his brothers getting arrested around the country at games, and his mom out here dressing like a street walker, they have to absolutely hate having to root for him.
Hang on, I’ll ask my wife, a Vandy alum.

Nope, they enjoyed cheering for him and they don’t mind the embarrassing antics.

But he’s 6’0” tall!!!

Looked at the other picture too where all 4 guys are wearing running/court shoes. Pavia is about 5ft8in tall barefoot. The combine will tell the tale. That combined with his tirade after the show will cost him millions IMO .

Why did Mendoza deserve it? How do you or anyone determine it? What criteria is used? The Heisman is THE WORST trophy that I can think of. It's even below the participation trophies we give kids today just for showing up.

You saved me the bother of expounding upon this matter in greater length. There is no consistency whatsoever in terms of the criteria used in selecting the Heisman. On the other hand, there most certainly is an element of regional bias and favoritism in terms of the degree to which players from certain universities are fast-tracked, so to speak, and, by all appearances, definite opposition to others, such as our beloved Big Orange. From 1943-1956, you could call the Heisman the "who-is-the-best-player-on-Notre-Dame's-team-this-year" award, with five of the straight-armed trophies going to the Fighting Irish. Similarly, Army and Navy combined for five trophies between 1945 and 1963.

In the earliest years, there was also a distinct pro-Ivy-League-caliber bias, with Chicago, Yale, and Princeton collectively garnering four trophies between 1935 and 1951. On the other hand, an Alabama player did not win a Heisman until 2009, when Saban-coached players went on a run of four Heistmans, while Tennessee has yet to receive one. And, of course, let us not forget the Big Ten love fest. Ohio State and Michigan have combined for 10 of the over-hyped awards, which were conferred between 1944 and 2006.
