Pavia is absolute TRASH!

He probably Shedeur himself for the draft if he plans on entering it. Teams aren't going to want him to be the face of their franchise.
He better have crazy Combine for any real shot. Someone may take last round flyer or UDFA.
Best bet is to go the CFL or USFL and hope to put up crazy numbers that some NFL decides to give him a chance, probably the Browns
He better not go to the combine, that real 5’9” height will come out.

I thought Vandy grads were supposed to be smart? All he did was affirmed that the Heisman voters made the right decision. Mendoza was a deserving winner and was well mannered and conducted himself with class, grace, humility and respect. Stark contrast with pavia who handled himself like a thug with absolutely no humility or class. Surely the stark contrast with the values of the parents of the 2 quarterbacks is a big contributor as to why they are the way they are.

Vandy, now has a Heisman runner-up. TN has 3. 2 for sure should have won. But, all were gracious not winning. Pavia is making Vandy a program not to respect.

We have four Heisman runners-up: Hank Lauricella (1951), Johnny Majors (1956), Heath Shuler (1993) and, of course, Peyton in 1997.

I kind of doubt that, only because in this day and age, if any FBS (let alone Division 1) collegiate player whipped it out and pissed on the midfield logo of his school’s main rival’s stadium, we all would have found out about it…everyone would know about it.
It wasn't during a game. It was a social media post. He was let in or had gotten into the stadium. I'm too lazy to look it up but it was commented on in some local boards here.

*I love your attention to italics, it's fruity.

Mendoza deserved it. The year he, and Indiana has had, is storybook! I'll be pulling for them throughout the playoffs.

Seeing the way Pavia's mom behaved in the stands told me all I needed to know about how that kid was raised.

It’s amazing. Some people are just now figuring this out.

He’s a selfish little jerk that caused his team a chance at the playoffs. Not that they would have been in the playoffs without him, but he came out in the Texas, Alabama, and Tennessee games trying to win the Heisman. His interceptions, pick sixes and strip and scores put his team in a hole against Alabama and Texas that they couldn’t get out of. If we would’ve had a good defense, he would’ve caused his team that game as well.

I have been to every Vanderbilt home game this season. The majority of Vanderbilt fans are ready for this era to be over.

It’s obvious that it “was the way he was raised“.

I actually agree with him. F the joke the Heisman has become ever since ESPN hijacked collect football.

And the proof is in the pudding. QBs win this award 90% of the time. But go look at how many Heisman QBS have won a Super Bowl…I think it’s two…Staubach and Plunkett. That’s right. And zero since the ESPN hype train got involved.

I think the numbers are similar for Heisman QBs in the NFL HOF.

The best player rarely wins this award.

Soooooooo, the burning Q that remains is: Do we want Punk Pavia to come back again next year so that we can not teach him a lesson??

Elway.

The Heisman Trophy is probably the worst trophy of any. It is nothing but hype, given 99% of the time to the QB on the #1 ranked team or the highest ranked non-SEC team. I think Pavia is gone, unless he signs a 10yr contract with Vanderbilt. Stop paying attention to the Heisman Trophy. Who cares what the biased media voters think. I don't. Didn't watch it, will not watch it. I'd rather watch the paint dry on a wall than the Heisman fraternity party. Let's get rid of it.

Mendoza deserved it. I wanted to cheer for Pavia since I live in Nashville area but I think the Heisman voters got it right this time.
Why did Mendoza deserve it? How do you or anyone determine it? What criteria is used? The Heisman is THE WORST trophy that I can think of. It's even below the participation trophies we give kids today just for showing up.

I don’t think anyone but Lea likes his mouth, but he is one hell of a football player. Most of the hate on this board is probably because of what he did in the game against us, not because of his behavior or his mouth.

The best evidence for what you say is Majors, after an undefeated season, losing to Paul Hornung, who led Notre Dame to a two-win record.
