+1 That is exactly what I told my wife last night! Bama use to run the ball to set up the pass, last night was the opposite.

They also used to have a line with 4 NFL draft picks and a stable of healthy running backs. Now they dont....

That is what he does.. he blinds you with some stat to make you think he is good.

And then when the big game is on the line.. instead of his beast RB who is averaging 8 million YPC.. he goes pass pass pass pass.. and loses you a game you should have won easily...

The Kiffin curse..
The Tide scored 35 points and lost and their problem is the offense?!?!? Newsflash for some of you folks, an SEC championship caliber team puts a defense on the field that does not lose games if the offense puts>30 points on the board. I'm hoping Saban continues to tinker with his offense, when it's Kirby Smart his DC and their defense for 3 years that has been losing clutch games for them.

As long as ole Kiffy is there it will continue to go down and i love it!

I am beginning to believe that Kiffin is part of a conspiracy to Sabotage the SEC.

He is just bad karma. LOL but if it helps us then so be it. I think everything he touches turns to crap, but yet he convinces everyone around him that he is making it happen through is greatness.

Without the talent, Alabama doesn't win all the games they did this year and suffers two more losses. A lot came to the forefront last night. 2 great backs, OL and Cooper was Cooper. Take 14 gimme points off the board due to TOs and short fields.

Started to think about it and Kiffin may not be the OC we thought he was or is. We know he is not the HC and he has been given every opportunity to succeed but seems to fail. He will use Saban and be gone before long.

Finebaum is going to have a record audience today if espn keeps advertising it as hard as they have today, Im telling you every espn show or radio ive turned on this morning has mentioned his show today and to tell everyone they better watch it because it will be comical. No doubt it will be comical but everyone better be turning to watch that big orange and white go out and molest the hawkeyes

Really the offense scored 35 points because of a last ditch effort at the end of the game and two short field drives due to turnovers.

Again the offense doesn't get it done on the 3rd short field drive as the result of a 22 yard punt because they turn the ball over. Defense did not play well either but it should not be all on that side. Limited them to 6 points inside the 10 twice is pretty good.

Kiffin's offense scored 35 points against a team that is playing for the NC. The Tide has problems, I hate Kiffy as much as the next Vol fan, BUT offense did not lose for the Tide against OSU in that game last night. Does giving up >300 yards in total offense in the 1st half give you a clue where the Tide's problems really are?

Sorry. I just can't pull for Coach Urban Meyer (AKA CUMstain) against anybody. I would much prefer that UT is 'Bama's only loss each year.

The whole bammer program and there fake fans that live on TN soil far out weighs Urban in my heart. Glad those (think they can't be beat, rule the world) elephants lost

Spears and McElroy handled it as just a game...Finebaum acted like it was the fall of an empire. He thought Bama and the SEC were unconquerable and he doesn't know what to do. I don't think Phyllis could make him feel any better. Anyway as long as the Vols win today I've had a great bowl season.
Poor ole Phyllis. Love the way she says "Paw!"

Get real please, the Tide D gave up >300 yards of total offense IN THE 1ST HALF.

No kidding!

It's funny how many on here think UT is trending upward because they finally made it to a bowl game but Bama is down because they lost a national semi-final game.

Only on Volnation!

I guess our bowl win today doesn't mean anything huh? So improving from 5-7 to 7-6 with a bowl victory for the first time in 7 years is not considered trending upward? Good grief.

You're right, only Nancy's like you and only on Volnation.

I was actually in a room full of the ESPN crew (like Fowler, Reece, etc..top dudes)at the Rose Bowl. We were all watching the Ohio St -Bama game. I overheard a producer saying that they really needed Bama to win. Not sure the reason, but I'm sure we could figure it out.

A freakish little troll that should be hung for treason?

Oh sorry, I just read the title and thought it was a 'finish this sentence' thread.

Finebaum is a shriveled up radio blowhard who knows very little about sports but is radio-savvy enough to fan little SEC/bama tempests into ratings-boosting controversies. He spent many many years as a radio hack talking to alabama and auburn rednecks about the only subject in the world they care about, and that's pretty much what he remains (though I believe he graduated from UT!).

Not sure if anyone else out there went to the Bama, er, I mean SEC network last night and watched any of the coverage of the game with Mr. Finebaaaum, but it was just pure classic to hear how he took the loss.

It amazes me how much he and other Bama fans think the SEC revolves around them. Finebaum's reaction to the big bad SEC West losing practically all bowl season, especially the tide, was that it hurts the "SEC psyche". What a load. He doesn't quite understand that not all SEC schools want bama and the others in the west to be constant powerhouses.

College football is a game of cycles. The tides cycle is down this year...and hopefully it will continue.

Personally, if we win today, my psyche will feel just fine, especially seeing that bama is reeling from the unthinkable...losing!

GBO

I think Finebaum should retire

I have to say that though he is a relative neophyte to the sports broadcasting profession, I have been impressed with McElroy's objectivity all season long. There is no reason he cannot be a real good one in sports broadcasting.

BTW, that wasn't Spears with him, it was Anthony "Booger" McFarland.

I agree, young McElroy has been impressive all year, even during that beat down Bammer took last night.

This just shows you how classless these two schools are...they will let their players get away with anything.. cover it up.. cheat.. pay players..

Anything it takes...

And then when that still is not good enough. They can't even act with a little bit class and congratulate the other team, they run to their locker room so they can have a good group cry and complain about how bad they were cheated by the refs etc...

Bunch of no class cheating immature babies.. and they wonder why they are hated by EVERYONE outside of their fan-base who turns a blind eye and makes excuses for them.

I am so glad both of these teams lost yesterday.

The only thing that can make me happier today is a Tennessee Win...

#GBO

And the next best thing coming is Oregon taking down Urbie and his newest set of convicts at Ohio State. That will be the best trifecta of the year...... Go Ducks!
