Kiffin killed Bama last night calling passing plays when they could run at will. Priceless.

Sorry. I just can't pull for Coach Urban Meyer (AKA CUMstain) against anybody. I would much prefer that UT is 'Bama's only loss each year.

I think if anyone is to blame, it would be kirby smart. How can you let up that many points with that much talent? I would love for smart to be a head coach somewhere else in the sec because that would be a joke.

Not sure if anyone else out there went to the Bama, er, I mean SEC network last night and watched any of the coverage of the game with Mr. Finebaaaum, but it was just pure classic to hear how he took the loss.

It amazes me how much he and other Bama fans think the SEC revolves around them. Finebaum's reaction to the big bad SEC West losing practically all bowl season, especially the tide, was that it hurts the "SEC psyche". What a load. He doesn't quite understand that not all SEC schools want bama and the others in the west to be constant powerhouses.

College football is a game of cycles. The tides cycle is down this year...and hopefully it will continue.

Personally, if we win today, my psyche will feel just fine, especially seeing that bama is reeling from the unthinkable...losing!

GBO

I hope saban has a heart attack, but recovers. Retires and kiffin takes over. Everyone lives a happy life except for kiffin who gets hit by a truck after he loses to us. He lives so don't worry about him. His wife does leave him though.

I personally believed that the SEC has been portrayed as unbeatable and it creates shock in everyone that a team in the SEC loses especially to an OOC team. The coaches and other conferences know that these teams are beatable but all the teams in the SEC are always dangerous.

Whatever it would take to get Finebaum and his "Alabama, Alabama, Alabama..." off the SEC Network would be well worth it. To him it is only about Alabama.

Point taken...10 or 11 wins in the year isn't "down", but at the same time, they aren't the same team they were a couple of years ago, and a lot of teams are gaining ground on them...not just outside of the SEC. They will continue to be strong, no doubt, but I don't think they will be dominant as a few years ago. They also have looked very beatable several times this year, and that, in my opinion, is down from where they were a few years back.

The point of the post actually was about how Finebaum feels the whole SEC psyche revolves around them winning...or even an SEC team winning it all. It doesn't.

But, hey...take it how you wish. As stated...it is Volnation, after all.

You can't argue with a person who doesn't know the difference between a trend and a point in time. I'm glad you at least tried to add some sense to this discussion.

How many noticed that both Florida State and Bamer both ran straight to the locker room without shaking the opposing teams hands after they lost yesterday?

Southern coaches need to close the door on urbie, he is trying to transform the sockeyes into an SEC team by poaching Southern talent. Go Ducks!

Spears and McElroy handled it as just a game...Finebaum acted like it was the fall of an empire. He thought Bama and the SEC were unconquerable and he doesn't know what to do. I don't think Phyllis could make him feel any better. Anyway as long as the Vols win today I've had a great bowl season.

This just shows you how classless these two schools are...they will let their players get away with anything.. cover it up.. cheat.. pay players..

Anything it takes...

And then when that still is not good enough. They can't even act with a little bit class and congratulate the other team, they run to their locker room so they can have a good group cry and complain about how bad they were cheated by the refs etc...

Bunch of no class cheating immature babies.. and they wonder why they are hated by EVERYONE outside of their fan-base who turns a blind eye and makes excuses for them.

I am so glad both of these teams lost yesterday.

The only thing that can make me happier today is a Tennessee Win...

I don't see how anyone can pull for Urban. I hope Oregon sets the record for points scored in a title game against Ohio State. I hope Oregon wins 100-0. Go Ducks!

That is what he does.. he blinds you with some stat to make you think he is good.

And then when the big game is on the line.. instead of his beast RB who is averaging 8 million YPC.. he goes pass pass pass pass.. and loses you a game you should have won easily...

The Kiffin curse..
+1 That is exactly what I told my wife last night! Bama use to run the ball to set up the pass, last night was the opposite.

I was shocked that Herby said something about Florida State's "no class" act on air.

It was great to watch Shrimpbo Fisher and his criminoles get humiliated on national TV. Shame-us Windbag looked dazed and confused.  :pepper:

Where is Phyllis from Mulga in all of this? Anyone checked on her lately? Has she called in?

I am always surprised in these threads. The point is given little attention while one line is focused upon.
In this case "The tides cycle is down this year". Which, to be honest, is actually correct by their standards. Right now, they feel any year without a NC is a down year.
But the main point, I agree with strongly.
IDC how Paul feels or how the other conference talking heads think we should feel.
My "psyche" is just fine. As a matter of fact, I took a huge breath of teams like Bama losing and smiled.
Their losses have zero to do with UT or my feelings about UTs status.
