I agree, young McElroy has been impressive all year, even during that beat down Bammer took last night.

I agree, McElroy does well, but I can't stand his hair.. call me weird (and he has a very cute cousin in Birmingham.... a doll!)

Okay, I better hush:)

The Tide scored 35 points and lost and their problem is the offense?!?!? Newsflash for some of you folks, an SEC championship caliber team puts a defense on the field that does not lose games if the offense puts>30 points on the board. I'm hoping Saban continues to tinker with his offense, when it's Kirby Smart his DC and their defense for 3 years that has been losing clutch games for them.[/QUO

Yep. they gave up 44 in the Iron Bowl and 35 today. Kirby may be passed his prime window this year. He may be actively looking for a job now.

I was listening to espn radio and Pawl and Phillis was talking about cooking cornbread before the game. I guess she can cook a lil humble pie for Pawl now.

Emergency Rooms across Middle Tennessee were flooded last night with ankle and knee injuries from all the bammer posers jumping off the bandwagon.

They're a bunch of unreconstructed red necks who are still fighting the war and they get some kind of twisted glory by latching on to the current winner. The toothless minions.

No kidding!

It's funny how many on here think UT is trending upward because they finally made it to a bowl game but Bama is down because they lost a national semi-final game.

Only on Volnation!

It is a trend. No matter how high if you lose you are trendinding down. No matter how low if you win you are trending up. Follow the stocks and you will learn what it means to trend.

I wouldn't be too surprised to see the SEC power shifting towards the east side in the not too distant future. JMHO

That is what he does.. he blinds you with some stat to make you think he is good.

And then when the big game is on the line.. instead of his beast RB who is averaging 8 million YPC.. he goes pass pass pass pass.. and loses you a game you should have won easily...

The Kiffin curse..

Never seen it defined this way. Absolutely spot on and perfect when describing kiffin.

Two telling, recent quotes:

1. Smart said Kiffin brought "really good ideas defensively" to Smart, during the season / D ideas from his dad. "We can take it or leave it, but it gives us new ideas, fresh ideas."

2. Kiffin, speaking on cam / hamming it up to recent Broyles Award banquet crowd / prior to OSU loss, on what CNS is saying to him on sideline, over the shoulder: "Hey Lane, I love you so much. Thank you so much for coming here. Can you please stop throwing the ball so much and just run it a few more times please."

And a 3rd. Smart, on Kiffin: "I'll say this: he's not afraid to speak his mind. That or he hasn't learned yet."

Bama won an SEC Title this year and made the 4 team playoff, they weren't as dominate as the 2012 team that won it all, but they still had a great season.

Bama isn't going anywhere, but they do need to some faster kids on defense to compete for national titles because it was readily apparent that Ohio State had more speed than them.

If I'm Butch Jones, I take note of how Myer exploited them and go out and get some really fast offensive players like Myer has recruited at Ohio State.

If Ohio State can beat Bama so can the Vols!!

Not sure if anyone else out there went to the Bama, er, I mean SEC network last night and watched any of the coverage of the game with Mr. Finebaaaum, but it was just pure classic to hear how he took the loss.

It amazes me how much he and other Bama fans think the SEC revolves around them. Finebaum's reaction to the big bad SEC West losing practically all bowl season, especially the tide, was that it hurts the "SEC psyche". What a load. He doesn't quite understand that not all SEC schools want bama and the others in the west to be constant powerhouses.

College football is a game of cycles. The tides cycle is down this year...and hopefully it will continue.

Personally, if we win today, my psyche will feel just fine, especially seeing that bama is reeling from the unthinkable...losing!

GBO

Finebaum just said on ESPN that "the psyche of the SEC is shattered" really Paul...are we just devastated that Alabama lost...

The man knows his audience, but I dang sure ain't in it.

Around the bowl,
and down the hole,
Roll Tide Roll!
