Paul finebaum show

Oh, I have a lot more in store for him than that...

I've warned him before not to play a game where the weapons are all on the other side. I told him I wouldn't get into a tobacco spitting contest with him, and that he should avoid any contest involving words with me. *shrug* I did try to warn him. Unfortunately the poor fellow is a little...erm...slow of comprehension apparently.

Bet he could beat you in a watermelon seed spitting contest! That gap in his teeth is what you call "God given talent". :birgits_giggle:

this may come off as a dumb question to a few of you, but I've seen this aaccount a lot and is this really harvey updike or is it a parody account.

It's really him. My son is a UT student (from Alabama). He follows Harvey.

How shall I tactfully put this? Nothing really good comes out of Harvey's tweets. He is one of these people that is "eat up with it". It's a freak show for sure. Bama football is the most important thing in his life (and of course he hasn't set foot in a classroom at the Capstone).

I suppose that's why I take pleasure in following him after a Bama loss. Ever put salt on a snail? That's what a Bama loss does to him.

He's seriously batsh*t crazy, that's for sure. He's one of the loudest "Pawwwwwwwwl is a traitor to Alabama! ESPN changed him!" whiners, but still obviously tunes in to watch/listen every single day the show is on the air. It's truly almost pathetic, but I lost all potential sympathy for the man who thought it was okay to destroy another school's traditions and then call a nationally syndicated talk show to brag about it afterwards.

I mean--let's be serious. I hate Florida with a passion, but it would never even cross my mind to destroy...whatever it is the lizards do just because we lost to them. Normal people's minds just don't work that way--and apparently not even slightly abnormal people like me would ever consider such behavior. So even though I am not an Auburn fan by any stretch of the imagination, I can easily imagine what an act like that did to their fan base and school.

Not much yet man. Freeze was on first thing. That guy is the perfect fit for ole Miss. He is VERY good. Love everything he said.

The first caller was from Dothan, Alabama and he spurted out that they need to hand the keys over to Kirby Smart because saban hired Kiffen

Been kinda dead since then. Just hobnobbing on the air.

Finebaum was funny at the idea of Smart Taking over though. He and saban being lovers and all he didn't take to that kindly.

Oh man, they are playing the south carolina spurrier after game conference and he sounds exactly like Dooley! No Joke. The man sounds exactly like dooley. Whoa that's hard to hear.

I'd originally planned to call today (and every day this week) but there's no reason to even try, tbh. There are a lot of people piled up on those phone lines and half of them are apparently absolutely nuts.

More hobnobbing. The calls are being saved for later in the show. I expect the later the show, the more interesting things will get.

That's usually how it goes. Most normal people are just now getting off work, and the regular callers are (despite what they may sound like) normal folks who have a job and don't play hooky to call up Finebaum. Usually the guests slow down and Marcus leaves around five, and then the callers crank up.

Radio host on ESPN Spartanburg just said Georgia's only competition in the east is Florida.

Not relevant but didn't want to post in a new thread
