Paul finebaum show

Oh, I'll be calling today. Got called out by name yesterday by that gator idiot who lives in Jasper. So while my rants aren't anywhere near as loud, unintelligible, or clueless as the majority of rants that Finebaum gets, UT will have at least me speaking the #119 gospel today.

Our team needs to hear from all of us that we believe in them--so they'll believe in themselves. While I'm nowhere near as entertaining as Tammy or Phyllis or whoever, I'll give my all for Tennessee today!

So sayeth the Shepard..... So sayeth the flock

*Battlestar Galactica...right?????*

So after spending a long time on hold while the SEC Network tried to combat a severe storm and connection/satellite feed problems, no calls ended up being taken today. Which is a damn shame.

All that being said, I'm starting to notice some usually vocal Vols fans starting to equivocate on social media. Which is extremely disturbing.

As promised (or threatened, depending on how you look at it) my interview with Finebaum all-star Phyllis from Mulga reveals the reasons behind her high octane love of the Tide and particularly of Gene Stallings was just released on my blog as the second Songs of the South post in the series. Third post with a UGA fan later this week. It really is a great story about a coach who, because he was the father of a son with Down's Syndrome, took the time to become the hero that Phyllis's son with disabilities needed in a time of great turmoil. Please feel free to spread the link any way you wish to--it would be great if the Stallings Center in Tuscaloosa received some of the recognition they deserve for the wonderful work that they do.

And if any of you have a Song of the South story, this isn't restricted to Finebaum callers. Drop me a line through PM here and tell me your story--and I might use it.

Eventually, I'm planning to make this into a book, so the more the merrier. And get ready for Gator Hater week, because I'll be cranking it up on the show all week, starting on Monday! Thanks, guys!

They are totally failing on Friday's so far with the phone calls. Two Friday's in a row now they've been on campus and the show has been virtually caller-less for the better part of 3.5 hours this Friday and none last Friday. I also learned that this year if your team is playing a "cupcake" game that coming Saturday you just about won't hear them discussed at all through the entire week. I did hear two different callers this week who called out Finebaum's staff for deliberately bumping their calls because they were about to talk about something the show wasn't interested in at the time or they weren't fans of a certain team. That was pretty darn humorous hearing them get called out for that, and I totally believe it. The callers are what make this show and if the show just happens to be talking about Ole Miss and Alabama at the time and that random Kentucky fan calls in with a question they should let them through anyway. It makes it dynamic and adds variety if nothing else.

I think it depends on who's answering the phone that day. I am on a First me basis with a couple of the regular screeners but there's one guy who's a total %#@& every time I call and he's the screener.

But yes, Fridays are a big fail so far. But next week? Be prepared for a LOT of Vols talk. Finebaum has said all year that Florida is a must win game. And he's unlikely to let anyone forget it this week.

This should prove to be an interesting week coming up on Finebaum. If we manage to beat Florida this year it might shut Lance up... for a day or two. I'd love to say he'd probably never call Finebaum again but it's Lance after all. We all know that guy's a burger short of a combo meal. A win against Florida would also give Finebaum a years worth of ammo to shoot at Lance at any given time.

Tommorow will be one of the best days for callers in a long time. The entertainment from the callers will be a thing of beauty.I am not a big PF fan but tommorow should be a classic.

And since both Alabama and Auburn lost *snicker* there will be lots of meltdowns too. Going to be fun?

Being in Alabama, I had access to his shows during the meltdown that WAS: Dubose, Shula, Price, Francione etc..
This hypersensitive fanbase is SO FUN to listen too in times like these.

They have some really cocky fans... One guy "The Legend", can't even make a sentence without a condescending fake laugh..

The list is endless. It'll be fun to listen to today.

Here is some predictable answers as usual with the Bama fans:

1) Refs.. That lineman was 5 yards downfield, (never mind that you can't bat an oneside kick downfield)

2) At least it wasn't as bad as Auburn...Yuk Yuk Yuk

3) We gave up 5 turnovers. Note: When Alabama gets 5 fumbles, it's always "We caused 5 turnovers" - never any credit to the other team.

4) This one is questionable, but could be sweet. "Lane Kiffin is an inept play caller - why did he start that other QB" Kiffin is getting thrown under the bus on the comment section of the game in AL.COM (It brings me great pleasure).

Yep, even if you hate Pawl... today would be a good day to tune in. Not many days were both AU and UA lose and we win.

If you like Jerry Springer you will like this show when the callers start. He has some good interviews but the callers are going to start chanting Pauly...pauly...pauly.....etc.....

I've looked forward to this week for a loooong time. Stupid asshat Lance is already trying to tick me off on twitter in his...unusual and illiterate fashion. And for UT-UF week to come right after the three A's all lose? Priceless! The whole state of Alabama is going to call up butthurt and whiny today. It's going to be so much fun that I may put off calling until tomorrow.

The only thing that would have capped Saturday off even better would have been for the Suckeyes to lose to NIU like they deserved to do. Both SubUrban and Saban have been playing cutesy with their QB situations and both got bit by it on Saturday. OSU had the best QB situation in college football history heading into the season. Now the best QB he has is playing HB apparently. And with Saban--how in the heck do you expect your first team to get into sync if they don't know which QB is going to be playing? Ridiculous. So--yeah, today's show will be epic and--

I.

Cannot.

WAIT!

Bama fans will be turning to Pawl for psychiatric help. That's a huge mistake.. Today will be good.

My Twitter feed was so nice and quiet yesterday. It was like a Bama-free vacation. I enjoyed it so much...

But yeah--Dr. Paul's "free therapy" will be in full gear today.
