Orangeslice13, a blessing to those around him…..Again

I like walking in the rain sometimes.

People that are motivated enough to begin their run or bike ride in the rain piss me off. I have in the past when I was training for races and didn't really have a choice. Used to run in the snow a lot. I have run and biked in the rain countless times, but that was mostly storms moving in after I started.

AFNG.

I started in the rain one morning and worried about my phone, earbuds and watch so much I said f it about 3 minutes into it.

Not very athletic anymore. That hike and the practice hikes leading up to it pretty much killed the last bit of life left in my knees, ankles and feet that being a catcher didn't destroy.
I have restrictions that I can't help. It was my fault, but that's irrelevant now. I normally walk 2-3 tines a day 5-6 days a week and between 25-35 miles every week. I ain't training for anything just trying to lose weight and slow down the deterioration of my body.

I get blisters when my socks and shoes get wet. So I don’t walk when it’s raining, although I like how light rain feels. 1659101782698.gif

The phone and watch are and I think you have the Samsung earbuds and they are water proof .
I don't remember seeing that my phone is waterproof, and even if it is I'd still worry. My watch is but again, I'd worry about it. My bose ear buds are not.

You would think bose would be my son's apple ear pods you can wear them in the shower and it has a vibration that knocks the water out.

Not much walking for me right now after toe surgery. I usually get enough walking and activity in with two young hound dogs. Was going on at least 2 mile walks with them every evening. I hear what you're saying about "it was your fault." I have abused my body so much in my life (not like @Souce abuses his body), the bill is starting to come due.

The reason I did the 26 miles in one day hike was the Make-a-Wish Foundation. If anybody is ever interested in doing it, it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. And you don't have to do the whole 26 miles. The main thing is the fundraising. I am sure there is a chapter in your area. Just look up Make-a-Wish Trailblaze Challenge.
