Orangeslice13, a blessing to those around him…..Again

We definitely had to change some things around, as some of our stuff got cancelled but not drastic changes. We have 5 nights in Grand Tetons, 6 in Yellowstone, and 2 in Montana.

What are your GT hike recommendations? Thinking about Jenny Lake to Cascade Canyon, Stringer Lake/Leigh Lake and Taggart Lake.
I have a friend who is there now with her husband. They've been in the area for about a week, she's posting some beautiful pictures, I stole this one.FB_IMG_1659026446578.jpg

I used to walk to the Stringer/ Leigh Lake area and hang out and read, pretty area. Also good area to sea kayak or paddle board.

Walking around Jenny Lake was not my favorite. You can take a boat across the lake to the Cascade Canyon trailhead and have time to hike farther up the canyon. That is one that I was going to recommend. There are some great loops, but they are 20+ miles. Just hiking up the canyon is beautiful.

Death Canyon area is also cool. You can hike up as far as you like. Phelps lake is a quick side trip to jump off a rock into the lake.

Table Mountain is great, but you have to drive over to Idaho for that one. Harrison Ford did a helicopter rescue there for someone that had altitude sickness.

Dornan’s in Moose is an absolute must stop to sit on the roof and have a cocktail or glass of wine.

Yeah I really want to do cascade canyon. I'm hoping the weather is great our first day because then we can do the boat over early morning, otherwise the boat starts later due to season time change.

Death canyon looks neat too. I saw Phelps lake too.

I have Dornans on the list to stop!

Day 2 of the new life….
I went and put a water faucet on the outside of someone’s house then came home for a bit. While there the google maps car drove by. My son P.but was in the driveway with me so we sat on the tailgate and flipped him off as he went by.
I wonder how long it will take to update?

Pics soon.

For those that haven’t been, I highly recommend Glacier & Zion parks. Drive across Utah from Moab to Zion, beautiful area.

I love Yosemite also, but I can’t go into The Valley any more, far too crowded. Good thing is, there is a lot of great camping and hiking outside of The Valley.
