OMG - SEC Shorts absolutely nails it (and Nico) for the NIL era

Yep, they made us the punchline in this one. Funny that no one seems to even slightly compare it the Carson Beck situation. (I can’t imagine Miami is in a better position than Georgia to win; is he getting paid that much more? He had use of a private jet for crying out loud!) I’m sure Georgia fans are getting rid of their Beck jerseys now regardless.

Great point. OU’s Mateer escaped criticism/scrutiny also.

The only thing that I can think of is he figured he'd make a little more money and put up better numbers in a weaker conference to improve his draft stock because Miami doesn't have near the talent that Georgia does.

Can't imagine Food City or Flying J on a Players Jersey. PLEASE NO!
I would like to say that this will never happen since the uniform rules are fairly strict with the NCAA (from what I understand NCAA even has final say on any alternate uniform), but as soon as the NBA and NFL start selling ads on jerseys, college football won't be far behind.

FWIW - I think it happens in the NBA first since the WNBA already sells space.

The NBA has done it for a couple of years already. Same with MLB.

Me and my brothers had Denver Broncos jerseys from the same era from Sears...good times.
Yep. I became a Raiders fan in the late 70's as a young kid and back then, Raiders merch was practically nowhere to be found in the Chattanooga area! However Sears used to have a little store in Brainerd, outside the mall called Sears Surplus and for whatever reason, they stocked a small amount of Raiders gear. My mom would drive me over there on Saturdays just to see if anything new came in! Great memories!
