Official OC search update thread...

Truth. People always said Majors and Fulmer were too conservative. But when you get down there with a weapon like BEASTMODE, then those guys would win the percentages.

Yeah and if Lynch would have fumbled or gotten stopped short, then that would have been a terrible call. It's easy to be a keyboard coach.

The fact is Seattle had chances to put this game away and they didn't. It wasn't one play that lost the Super Bowl.

Um, no. Running was hands down the right call there. If he fumbles then so be it, but that wouldnt mean running the ball was a bad call.

Even Chris Collingsworth was in disbelief that they threw it. He kept bringing it back up and commenting on how shocked he was.

Sure it was one horrible play call, but hes absolutely right. you dont lose a game because of one play, sorry to bring reality to the forum. What lost the game was the Seahawk's inability to stop Brady and his wideouts.

You're correct so I can't argue that.

It was still a horrid play call and here's why...

You have at least 2 plays from the 1 or 2 yardline to win the superbowl.

Run game was working well.

You have BEAST at RB and a QB that also runs great.

I would have had a TE and 2 WR's on 1 side and rolled the pocket out to that side with BEAST in front of the QB.

Either the QB can run it in or the QB should have 1 of those other three to toss a short pass to for the SB win.

We all have opinions but in that situation, with the players available and the run game doing well at that point, to call that play was just dumb IMHO.

I love it, LMAO!!!

Fact is that those that hate FOX news haven't really watched it and are probably already brainwashed.

The other fact is that FOX always has more LIEberals on there giving their side of the situations than any other news channel does so it's actually less biased than other news organisations.

I like to hear more from both sides to make my own conclusions so FOX is a good place to get both opinions.

And yes, I believe in sticking to the laws of our Constitution and conservative values especially NOT overspending and putting us more in debt which is ignorance.

Those that hate me for that then just ignore me and stay happy, happy, happy, LOL!

And stay UNinformed.

SEMPER FI!

Meanwhile, back to UT football.

Isn't there a politics forum? Let's try to keep this stuff to the off topic threads.

I was just laughing and replying to what KBVol said.

I also didn't know that VN had a politics forum since I come here to talk UT football and try to learn whatever I can.

Sorry if I upset you.

:eek:lol: Yes because it's a lot more dangerous to hand the ball to the running than to put it in the air there. They bled time off the clock to run that POS play as well. They could have easily ran the ball twice then taken a TO with an option to run or pass on 4th down. If you give Carroll and his OC a pass on that series DO NOT ever criticize any coach going forward.

Actually it was one play that lost Seattle the game. They had 3 plays to get a yard with Lynch in the backfield. All coaches preach its a game of inches and yesterday proved it again. Games are often decided on a play or two. Russell Wilson is 5'11" on a good day throwing a slant from the one yard line. Saw a lane and rushed it.

When I see posts talking about "big name" hires, or more importantly, Tennessee's reluctancy to do so, I honestly have to laugh. I think back to all those posts about "opening up the purse" and getting Will Muschamp as head coach. Ask Florida if money equals success.

Wait. If DeBord has already been chosen, why are they still interviewing? I mean the board has already had a semi-meltdown... they have to hire DeBord now, don't they?

Getting a back up. He is old and NSD is a few days away. a large beast in a black cloak was recently seen shadowing him.

Hubbs said he feels Sanford is interested in the position but debord will probably still be the first choice. Don't shoot the messenger.
