Official Nashville Predators Thread

You have displayed just about as much wisdom as GS does on a daily basis. I dont give a rip if you are old enough to draw social security, you just come off as an elitist hilljack who is butthurt that another team is taking your prized player.

Ouch. You hurt me. What will I do without Shea?

Elitist hilljack? You know what you said about making assumptions?

Got any other personal insults? When you have nothing else, you have to resort to insults.

I guess with your great age, you have started to lose a bit of memory. You have started these childish insults and I am just dropping to your level. You are upset that the Flyers are doing what any other organization would do who wants to win and that is doing what is best for your team.

Nah, just the reality of the situation. I'm sure Weber will do it again. And I won't give a sh*t still even if he does it as a Flyer.

You would probably be ok with him taking off his skate and stabbing him in the face as well. Its not hockey, and not even close.

Incorrect. Try again.

Thresh, there is a difference between violence and what Weber did. Is it the worst thing in the world, no, but he should have been suspended for two games imo.

I concur. It was quite a dirty play. Dale Hunter dirty? Not close. But writing it off as "just playing hockey" is ridiculous.

Cry me a river

It was after the horn and Z was defenseless, I hardly call that hockey. Im ok with it, especially in the playoffs, but it isnt hockey. I would also be ok if Pronger skated on the ice in the playoffs only to take Crosby's head off with his stick.....but it isnt hockey either :)

The Flyer's offer sheet is going to be virtually impossible to match and in the process, the Flyers will have killed much of the interest in Nashville hockey.

The Preds will have lost their two best players and biggest faces on the team. Why would Nashville hockey fans support this team, that will lurk in the cellar as a result?

Sure old hockey fans such as myself will continue to follow the team, but I sure won;t spring forth with the cash for season tickets to see this team. I doubt most others would either.

I think it would be crushing to lose both Suter and Weber, but Nashville can bounce back from it. With the 1st round picks and Nashville's success in the draft, they can rebuild. Weber has made it clear that he doesnt want to be in Nashville, and I dont know if you tie that much money in him if he is disgruntled there.

I still will buy season tickets. However, the casual fans will lose interest and they need those fans because they still aren't making a net profit even with many sellouts last year.

Hockey in the South is a tough sell especially when they have to compete with the Titans, college football and other various things going on. With the economy in the sh*tter, it doesn't help matters.

If they lose Weber and don't get good players in the draft, it could set them back a number of years. Ellis is an up and comer, but he's no Weber.

Perhaps you should read my post instead of talking directly from your arse

Lighten up Francis.

I'm sure your take would be different on it if he was a Flyer. Just like everyone would be biased if it was a player on their team.

Zetterberg wasn't injured. That's why Weber wasn't suspended. If he had been, Weber would've gotten at least 2 games IMO.

I believe this is the straw that will break the camels back for fans and we could be seeing what could cause the franchise to leave Nashville.

The ownership does not have the money to hold onto talent and accumulate enough of it to win the Stanley Cup. Fans want to see and back winners. Poile has done the best job of any GM in the league, but this just extinguished the fire with Nashville fans.
