Where has he failed except at Oakland and everyone fails there. He did well the one yr he was here considering what he had to work with. Was 28-15 at USC with probation killing depth and cutting scholarships and 9-3 at Fla At and playing in the Conference USA Championship game this weekend. He's 44-24 65% as a college HC. If that's failing then I hope we fail like that every year.

I have to admit...the prospect of bringing back Lane is growing on me. He is a heck of an offensive coach. I just pray that he has grown up.

The things he did detrimental to the UT were mostly character issues typical of a young egotistical punk with bad judgment . I doubt we'd see similar lapses of judgment on the second go around.

Meh.. he followed Pete Carroll at USC. He was destined to fail and had the sanctions there as well.

The raiders. Let's be honest. This is going to sound terrible. But, under Al Davis no hc was going to work.

He made a big mistake in leaving Tennessee the way he did. Not the reason, but the way. I would have loved to see what his second season would have been like.

What is it that the VN FF knows that every other AD in the country doesn't?
