Official Lane Kiffin thread 1

I honestly think if we hire Kiffin it’ll give us kind of a bad boy swagger.

If the boosters have any say so left, there is no way they would agree to CLK. If the Haslams have any say so left, there is no chance of getting CLK. A lot of boosters and the Haslams hate him.

Witch Doctor say he would crawl on his hands and knees to come back. Chris Low reported that a few weeks ago. Lets be real. hes coaching a team that NEVER won anything and hes going to a bowl and still sending us smoke signals (without yelling I WANT THE JOB)

BNL

I hope thats accurate. After it sinks in a little, at this point. LANE KIFFIN

At least Kiffin wants this job unlike the Grude. Kiffin has left us once, but wants to make up were as Gruden has teased us three times without a goodnight kiss.

He started in the NFL, thrice fired and is currently a FAU Owl.

These are facts.

His offense put up fantastic numbers when he was here with a QB that couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. The guy is a hell of an offense coach.

Also a fact.

I’d take him back in a heart beat. I think he’s smarter than that though. As someone said with another good year or two where he’s at and he could land a great program somewhere. Not one in the garbage like ours. God knows he will act interested and troll us though.

He never had a losing record at USC. Even with sanctions. He was even 3-2 when fired mid-season.

3-2 with a loss to a team that finished 5-7. His first year at USC he took the preseason ranked #1 Trojans to an impressive 6-6 record.

I'm in. Pay him 5-6 mil and a pile of money for assistants, don't be tightwads, and enjoy the show. I think it's the best option available.

A week ago, I would have been completely against Kiffin returning to UT. At this point however, I think it may be our best option. Right now seems to be reminiscent of what we were going through when he up and left us a week before signing day for USC. Maybe this is his chance to come back and fix the mess that he started. I'm willing to give him the chance if he is up for it. We would need to keep him on a tight leash with a huge buyout.

No one is questioning his ability to call plays from his waffle house menu but the numbers that matter are wins. He never managed to do that enough, that's why he was fired from his head coaching gigs.
