I do think this is much more a pivotal hire than 2012 due to how long our fan base has hung tough from the end of the Fulmer gen through the Kiffin debacle and the Dooley diahrea and now the snake oil Lyle....I'm not sure if this won't permanently damage our program...non-diehards can only take so much

My point is more about the optics of it all, and that it would get some public positions on the subject by a national media, instead of the local media twiddle thumbs.

I am not defending him. I want him gone. I Ann merely saying that it would be incredibly hard to make the case that Jones knew our should have known. What is battling is that you realize what a finger pointing contest it would be and still stand firm that Jones would come out the loser.

And I never said he could not have known, just that you will have as hard time proving that he did our should have. And I believe it would take a stupid jury and incompetent foe to convince anyone to award based on the plan of action you posted earlier.

FYI Jones is an a$$ - u think the only place he has epic tirades is on the sidelines during nationally televised games???

He is a maniac on the practice field as well. He has browbeat numerous players and this fan base took the position that the guys he ran off could not handle tough coaching. Total crock of sh$$!

Here is my evidence that he's FOS. These are all quotes from Beaver, you tell me which ones have panned out and which (if any) show that he is privvy to any inside info of any sort:

Those 3 (Currie, his right hand man, and Peyton) are the chess pieces not the player

I would be absolutely shocked if Jones is still here by Tuesday. Partly because of the how this season is going and also because of the text I received this week telling me as much.

Wrong. He's still here, info was apparently not good. Also the concussion leaks should have sped this decision up, not slowed it down.

The timing decision is all on the AD’s side.

Wait, the same AD that's a chess piece? And you earlier said you didn't have access to the AD, so how did you think you knew the timing of this when it's up to someone that you don't have access to or otherwise interact with??? I have to say, in this scenario the AD DOES seem like the player and YOUR SOURCES sound like the chess pieces. It would seem to me that if Currie is totally in control of the timing and press, and especially considering no deal has been leaked or announced yet, he is the one playing everyone else.

Maybe I will write out the game theory problem as to why I am so confident.

I am finally getting info on timing (Gruden announcement), you all will not have to be patient for much longer.

It wasn’t a question of if but when they would fold. Hence my 100% confidence throughout this process. The only uncertainty was of Gruden wanted the job, thankfully he did.

So Gruden wants the job allegedly, and now "they have folded"....so what is the holdup?

The end result is someone jabbering on for days and days with only vague statements about knowing inside information and occurrences, none of which have come to pass.

Not trying to say Gruden isn't going to be coaching us next year, but PLEASE stop giving trolls total control of your mind on here and feeding them. It makes the actual inside info harder to recognize and piece together.

not directed at you personally....that has been or is one of the challenges. Those that have participated the last few weeks and those regulars of VN participating have their own way of knowing who to keep an eye on. No, you're assuming a linear relationship. That is not an accurate assumption. In truth, there is a knee in the curve where the books are trying to maximize profits while minimizing exposure. Sharps aren't out there taking prop bets on UT's next head coach. 99% of the action is coming from casual bettors and a majority if it is on Gruden. That is 100% percent the reason for the line move.. not insider information.

I have read that several time and there is no quote from Gruden saying he is ruling out coaching college coaching ... it is an assumption of the writer, you said Gruden said He would not coach in college ... He did not say that ... He jokingly said he would have you in trouble with the NCAA ... paraphrased of course
