If Haslam messes up the JG deal as I have been reading is a possibility this afternoon on here. In my opinion we should go after Frost hard and off him a truck load of money.

I'm not someone who's gonna call for a boycott or anything, but I swear if we don't hire Gruden I will never spend another penny at a pilot. I just could not further support the selfishness and self-righteousness of it all.

I hear you! I normally go to Pilot in White Pine exit on 81 in Jefferson County every time I go to Knoxville or Pigeon Forge. That said if he F’s us I am done there and and other pilot not counting my $2500 donation to Tennessee.

This is what worries me about people posting stuff like this. A "wow" hire is not someone you think has a lot of upside like frost or mullen. A "wow" hire is a mother-effing white whale that's gonna helecopter it in the faces of Georgia and florida. It's getting filet mignon, not sirloin. It's figuring out your wife has a dead relative worth millions and they left it to you, not 100k. It's going home with a 10 and not a 7.

I think some people who say this think "wow frost would be a good coach here, that is a wonderful hire." No. A wow hire is someone who is gonna come in and alter the college football landscape. Frost might win us games, but he's not going to immediately terrify rival schools fans when he takes the podium for the first time. Gruden does that. Let's not get it twisted.

Or it's Kelly. He checks the offensive 'man" UF is looking for. I agree on wow hire, not many, less than a handful. If it ain't Gruden, I'll take Kelly.

Looks like the dam might be starting to crack a bit. I may or may not know ATL but part of what he just said lines up with what I have been told. I am sure I will get crucified for posting a screen shot of a text (if I can figure out how) but this is a conversation I had last Friday from information that I was given verbally. The blue is mine the gray is the person I was sharing the info with.

I am a bit curious why neither party in this conversation can spell Haslam correctly.

Frost
Kiffin
Kelly
Gruden (doubtful he'd do florida though, doesn't mean they wouldn't try)

And I figure "wow" must at least mean established Power 5 or Gruden.

If I remember correctly it came out about a week before he was hired Kiffin was in Knoxville playing golf with Haslam.
