This is exactly what I believe

I don’t know that I believe this is how it is playing out, but if the guy wants to coach then he isn’t going to let all the “tension” we keep hearing about stop him. I’ve transitioned jobs a few times in my life. I typically knew I was going to take the new job, packed up and moved even though all the details weren’t nailed down. It’s not that far fetched. If you WANT to do something you will figure out how to do it. All this cloak and dagger stuff seems a little silly.

Something Orlando vol uncovered the other day helps me see this differently. Gruden closed on his home in Tampa may 2017. 5 short months ago. Why would he have done that if they were planning to move to Knoxville later that year?

He’s rich enough to own multiple homes and would live there during the Summer? Saban has a lake house in Georgia and almost spends as much time there as he does in Tuscaloosa.

a gruden hire would be like a barnes hire......he'd sit on his ass and milk the university and do nothing.....just like rick barnes ........NO. gruden!!!!

Occam's razor - especially easy to believe if you thought he was close to coming last time (& if you believe, as I do, that boosters approached Gruden & Hart balked... which is why Bcarter's posts are puzzling to me, he said he saw the contract, didn't he?)

Unsure if he said he "saw" the contract or not.... but he was All in, until he was All out for sure.....

I think he is here because like me, he wants to believe, but because of the last time there will remain a healthy amount of skepticism until Gruden (of googlename coach) is standing in front of a podium

And even them, I will have to look twice to believe ... lol

I have went to at least one or two games per season. My last was the Appalachia state game. I seen then the players where not being developed. I didn't go to one this year. The last 4 years I've been on chemo and fought like hell to make it to the stadium and up the stairs to seats. I didn't have it in me this year from chemo and most of all the coaching. If Gruden comes ill fight like hell to make it with my son with whatever short or long life i have left. To have a gruden memory of winning with my son would be priceless

Still upset they shut down the Pollo here in Smyrna. They shut down all the ones in TN and GA. Very sad.

Yep, had one here in Hendersonville. They closed the Calhoun’s, tore the building down and built a Pollo Tropical. I don’t think it even lasted a year.😑 It was great.

Fellow Grudenites,

After the game and over the next couple of days we are likely to get inundated with new people. Some will be friend and some will be foe. None will be as invested as we have become over the last several weeks.

I just want to say that I've enjoyed the stew out of the time we've spent together. It is always nice to be around like minded individuals. I'm excited for what the future holds, but disappointed that our happy place is about to get blown apart.

Thanks, everyone! Gruden to the Hill!

And don't be afraid to use the ignore button. If you never see the naysayers words, then you don't have to be bothered by them. If we all follow that, then we won't even have to see the naysayers words in quotes.

Yeah, I definitely understand that. I started out that way this time, but seems like everything started lining up & I can't help but believe & get excited! My kids keep telling me to get off the board (afraid I'm setting myself up for disappointment), but I can't quit it!
