"When the Saban Empire was first created, there was a coach…..who had the ability to dominate the SEC, win championships, to remake the college football landscape as He saw fit. It was the idea of this coach that freed the thinking of the first of us, and taught us the truth – that as long as the Saban Empire exists, the SEC will never be free.

When He went to broadcasting, the Grudenites prophesied His return and envisioned that His coming to Knoxville would hail the destruction of the Saban empire, an end to the Butch Jones oppression, and freedom for our people. That is why there are those of us on this forum who have spent their entire forum-lives searching the coaching Matrix for Him.

We post what we post…because we believe…that that search is over."

Okay everyone! I'm out! Work calls (And I've been hitting ignore on that for a couple of weeks now). I'm still at 90%. I believe this will happen after Kentucky, but it might be longer. I feel good about passing the theory mantle on to my fellow Chattanoogans (We're really where it's at) and former Chattanoogans (I'm looking at you UTVolinExile). I'll check back in a bit each day, but no more morning updates.

This has been a great ride!

You'll be back. :) In the meantime, I will endeavor to watch for breadcrumbs with your same level of obsession!

I will stir the pot some more. In 2012, remember there was one newspaper that reported on the Gruden affair, and it was the Chattanooga paper. That reporter most likely got his information from a source in that city. So, maybe the push for Gruden came from the Chattanooga crowd then and is again. And maybe the resistance was in Knoxville then and now.

Who knows? But it is possible.

Nice dot connecting. I have no idea, and I like the view on this aspect.

No he definitely originally said Saturday/Sunday. May have edited the post, but it was 2 nights ago.

Story on Currie hiring

* Tennessee’s AD search committee did interview John Currie, though not all members of committee were there.

* New UT chancellor Beverly Davenport also interviewed Currie, flying to Kansas to do so.

* Phillip Fulmer moved his scheduled search committee interview from this Friday to this past Sunday.

* Fulmer got a call from a search committee member Monday morning, leading Fulmer to believe he had the job.

* Davenport didn’t want Fulmer because he didn’t have AD experience; she wanted someone with experience from a Power Five Conference.

* The search committee member that pushed for Currie was Jimmy Haslam.

* The search committee recommended Currie to Davenport, although the vote was not unanimous.

* Not all members of the search committee were aware that Currie was instrumental in having Fulmer fired in 2008 and didn’t know Currie and Fulmer have a strained relationship.

* Currie reached out to Fulmer through a phone message but Fulmer has not yet responded.

* One reason Fulmer pushed for the AD job is he didn’t want Currie to get it.

* Fulmer might have been the only candidate interviewed by both the search firm, Turnkey, and the UT search committee. UT Chattanooga AD David Blackburn interviewed with Turnkey the same day as Fulmer but wasn’t interviewed by the UT search committee.

The inside story: Complex picture in Tennessee's hiring of John Currie

That’s it I am officially not believing any of you!

That being said I’m ALL IN FOR GRUDEN 100%!
Just because I need this to be true

I don't like it when HE blames the players, but I don't like the fact that so many Vol fans think these players are untouchable and that we can't criticize.

They're either boys or men. If they're boys, they don't need to be playing football at the NCAA DI level.

It reminds me of the quote "Success has a thousand fathers but failure is an orphan." We want to praise them when they make plays, but when they don't execute, it's on the coach.

I'm 100% done with Butch and think he should shoulder the majority of the blame, but the players are not blameless in our losses.

I could see your argument if the players were being coached and developed. Since they obviously are not, I think it's a little unfair to place any of the blame on them.

So it was a power struggle between UT/Haslams and everyone one else.

If I remember correctly Stephen Hargis reported that Gruden was talking to a friend of Hargis’ who was the head coach of a high school in Chattanooga. That high school coach was going to be the liaison between Gruden and Tennessee high schools.

Bravo!!!!
Love some Morpheus monologue!!!

A like for you sir, and a

No he didn’t. Good grief.
It was late on the night of the 19th. I remember because I told him if he was right I would treat him to a round of golf at Pebble Beach. I only made that offer because of the specificity of his claims and I intend to stick to it. His post has since been edited.

I follow J Currie on twitter. He follows Kiffin and Gruden. That tells me, we are getring Gruden as HC and Kiffin as OC. Let the aluminum foil hats begin...

I still believe we have Butch until the week of November 27. Many signs point to that as being in the "best interest" for all. Recruiting will be salvaged and all concerns will be absolved. Relax and Grude-on...SOON!
