Let me just say I sincerely appreciate and understand your frustration with the past hires by the administration that was endorsed by the boosters. However, the Tennessee football program is made up of more than the two groups I just mentioned.
I am a VFL regardless of the mistakes we made and will make in the future. With all this said, if you give up on Tennessee, I wish you well and please don't let the door hit you in the *** on the way out.
May I suggest you go cheer for Saban you would certainly be happier.
:hi:
Let me preface this post by saying up front that I know I can gtfo, no one cares, I'm not a real fan, etc. etc. etc.
That being said, I'm not necessarily saying it's Gruden or bust but if they screw this up and either don't fire Butch or fire him and attempt to shove another bargain bin hire down our throats, I believe I am done.
Seriously, as much as I hate to say it, I think I will walk away and find something less futile to invest my time in.
Lose decent to Bama and win the rest, Butch stays. Don't think anyone expects it to happen though. However, if it does, it would be reasonable to bring him back.

Think, people.
Kansas State wears purple.
The last time that Gruden saw John Currie, he was where?
Kansas State.
Soon.

This list doesn't make me overly excited. Petrino would win, but I don't see that happening. i see the AD looking for a long term coach and he's too unreliable.
Cooter would make me somewhat excited, but he's unproven.
Brohm looks good, but how would he do as a head coach in the SEC. Another unproven.
Frost is not going to happen.
Pruitt just no.
As Coach Jones would say:
"There comes a point when 'all three phases' of the game annoy you. At that point, you have to throw 'resiliency' out the window and channel your 'energy' into something more positive. Otherwise a mediocre coaching hire would be an 'energy vampire', and nobody that has had their 'energy' sucked out by said vampire can become a 'champion of life'."
