Gruden would be an idiot to come. If he didn't win a NC in 5 years we'd be ready to fire him. Otherwise he can stay where he's at and make as much or more money without the headache and still have all the love from Tennessee.
I'll just say Mullen would be bottom of the barrel for me personally and would cause me to think long and hard about staying on this roller-coaster.
That list is pretty bad, and shouldn't have required a meeting by Manning, Currie, and all the boosters to put together and remove obstacles for.
So in other words we are bargain shopping again.
I'm not trying to be a jerk but it sounds like your sources read VN.
I'll pass on that list and see how this plays out. Too many sources saying different things.
Gruden and Kelley should be phone calls 1 and 2. After that you make Patterson, Peterson, Shaw and Dantonio say no.
Then you go bargain shopping if you can't swing any of those.
But if that's the list you start with then we might as well have Hart and Hamilton back.
Let me preface this post by saying up front that I know I can gtfo, no one cares, I'm not a real fan, etc. etc. etc.
That being said, I'm not necessarily saying it's Gruden or bust but if they screw this up and either don't fire Butch or fire him and attempt to shove another bargain bin hire down our throats, I believe I am done.
Seriously, as much as I hate to say it, I think I will walk away and find something less futile to invest my time in.
