We’re agreeing on the point that competitive nature would want the challenge of bringing championships to Tennessee.

My point is that as a mature man in his 50’s who is already worth millions and is currently sitting on a known golden egg, do you risk that?

To be clear, I REALLY hope he does. But from a strict business/finance/future perspective, I have my doubts.

Your doubts have no place on this thread, kindly post them elsewhere.

I would possibly agree if it hasn't come straight from the horse's mouth that he's got the itch to coach again. It would make sense to some but I think he's getting restless and wants to coach again. It may not be on Rocky Top but I think he's coaching somewhere soon.

Plus it's getting to the point of now or never if he wants to get back into coaching. He's still young enough now but it really wouldn't make sense in his 60s.

volfaniva has some interesting stuff regarding today in which he gathered from TOS...something about butch has told family hes not sure he will be coach of tennessee on monday and that he could meet with currie this morning

If it is who I am 99.9% sure it is... Only trust screen shots. Anything else will be flights of autistic fantasy.

Edit: 100% sure now. Take everything they say with a grain of Saltville.

Yup. Patterson would ironically be the tougher pull and he ain’t leaving TCU. We would most likely have to go north of $7M and you can get a bigger name for that $$$.

I agree with all this except one. Patterson is a bigger name and would be a huge splash hire. There are not that many people above him in name and coaching recognition.
